"Let's get out of here." Chris announced to the pilots as he made his way to the cockpit.

"Wait!" Mia looked in shock, she didn't see Ethan "we aren't leaving without my Husband!" That's when it dawned on Elizabeth that Mia didn't know about her husbands' sacrifice.
"Take a seat and strap in." Chris demanded but Mia wasn't having it, "where is my husband Chris-!"

"He's gone!" Chris caved in, looking down after he spoke, he didn't want to tell her but he had to.
"He saved us all." Elizabeth placed her hand on Mia's shoulder, comforting her as best she could. Mia was obviously in shock, and she sat down with Rose on her lap, clinging onto her husbands' jacket as the plane ascended into the air.
Elizabeth sat down as well, opposite Mia and next to Karl, she leaned on him and he rested his head on hers, intertwining their fingers as the plane set off. "We did it." Elizabeth whispered with a smile. "Yeah, we did" Karl kissed the top of her head before returning to resting on it. The peace was short-lived as a huge explosion was heard, you could see it from the windows as it lit up the cabin of the plane.

That was the end of the Village.

Our story doesn't end there however, it was around a ten-hour flight back to America, Elizabeth and Karl were asleep most of the time, occasionally being woken up by Rose crying for some food but apart from that it was a pretty peaceful ride.
Until it wasn't so peaceful.
Upon arrival into the states Karl and Elizabeth were met with a not-so-formal greeting, and by that I mean, they were pinned down and arrested, Karl had a coller-like device placed around his neck and Elizabeth had the same placed on her.
Karl started letting out a string of abuse towards the soldiers as they picked him up from under his arms and began dragging him, Elizabeth watched as he was taken away and started screaming, she expected a thunderstorm to appear but, it didn't. The woman looked at the sky and then really started to take notice of the collar around her neck, was that what was stopping them from using her powers?

"Let me fucking go!" She struggled against the soldier's grip, thrashing about, but after the day she had her thrashing was only an inconvenience for her captors, not a threat.

Mia and Chris watched as the events unfolded, the woman turned to Chris with a shocked expression "What did they do?"

"Nothing." He paused "But did you really think Umbrella would let them land on American soil and let them go Scott free?"
Mia looked down, she knew what the Blue Umbrella was like and she knew what was in store for them and by god she didn't like it. She looked sadly at her daughter, covering her ears as Karl and Elizabeth were dragged away.

The pair were dragged into a building, Elizabeth had lost sight of him as she was pulled down white hallways that all looked the same.
"Where are you taking me?!" She demanded but there was no response from the men in uniform. They came to a steel door and one of the men scanned a card, opening it. They pulled her into the room harshly, lifting her and placing her into what looked like a hospital bed they strapped her in, metal handcuffs being closed around her wrists and her legs being tired together and with that they left the room, leaving Elizabeth.

She lay there, she had tried to break out of the cuffs but it was no use, whatever was around her neck was seemingly draining all of her power. The door opened and Elizabeth turned her head as much as she could to see who was entering the room. It was Chris, and behind him was a Doctor, wheeling in a cart laced with needles and other things that would make a tomophobe faint on sight.

"The hell is going on Chris?" She spat at him and a sympathetic look came across the man's face. "I know I promised you and Karl freedom after this but-"

"-but you lied." She cut him off.

"No." He rolled his eyes and folded his arms, "They just need to run some tests on you first before any of the freedom stuff can happen." Elizabeth pondered for a moment, she shouldn't have been surprised that they were going to run tests on her and Karl, after all, they were the most powerful Lords serving under Miranda and they were also infected with the Cadou parasite, and the mould seemed to be the main focus of all of this.
"Fine." Elizabeth nodded, "but put me to sleep, I don't want to feel any pain." Chris noticed a sense of vulnerability in the woman's voice, from what Karl had explained to him upon their agreement to help one another, they were experimented on for numerous years and that was a very painful memory for Elizabeth.

"Do it doc." Chris nodded and the Doctor placed a gas mask over Elizabeth's face, it took a lot more than the recommended amount of anaesthesia to knock the woman out and as she dozed off into her deep sleep she breathed out. "Let Karl know I'm okay." And with that her eyes flickered close, sleep consuming her.

"She'll be fine Mr Redfield." The doctor assured him before getting to work, taking blood samples from the unconscious woman and hooking up a scanner to her brain, monitoring the brain waves.

"Enjoy that cause that's all you're getting!" Chris heard Karl's yelling before he even entered the room, Karl was strapped to a bed as well, but unlike Elizabeth, he was wide awake and throwing a tantrum.

Karl had been shouting and cursing at the guards and doctors since they brought him into the room, armed guards were on either side of the door inside, they had tried anaesthesia as the mask was on the floor along with the tank, Karls body was fighting anything that was trying to shut him down, Elizabeth accepted the sleep, he refused to.
The man spotted Chris enter the room and go a million times more aggravated.

"WHERE IS SHE? WHERE'S MY WIFE!?"
