Detention (Part II)

A very happy Birthday to one of the sweetest friends ever!!

Detention part II, here we go:

Chapter 16:

"Hey, you three."

Gjeel, Lucy and Levy whirled around.

They were standing outside the detention room when Mr. Macao slowly came up to them.

"Where's Natsu?" He asked, a little irritated that the pink head was absent.

"Salamander?" Gajeel asked.

The three students looked around, back over at the teacher and shrugged.

Macao huffed.

"Alright then, get in."

Gajeel paused, "D'you wan' me to go get him fer ya?"

"NO!"

Gajeel snickered before turning back to the room and going in.

Levy and Lucy glanced at each other before following the tall Gajeel in.

Macao followed.

"HEY!!!"

Lucy and Levy stopped. Gajeel turned around with a huge grin. Macao sighed.

Natsu came running down the hallway. He screeched to a halt in front of the class and ran in, seconds before Macao closed the door.

Lucy smiled.

Four students and a teacher stood inside the room now.

Macao nodded to the few desks present. "Take a seat. Each of you."

Levy and Lucy went over to a desk obediently.

Gajeel stretched and took his time making his way over to the one near the window.

Natsu reached it first though.

"Back off, Metal Head! This table is mine!"

"This is mine, Flame Brain. Find yerself 'nother!"

"Why don't you?"

"'Coz I saw this first!"

"No, you din't!"

"Yeah, I did!"

"BOYS..."

Lucy giggled quietly.

Looked like Natsu and Gajeel were fighting again.

She wondered if they would ever not.

Macao made another exasperated gesture, "Anyway, sit still, kids. There's one more goody-goody who'll be joining us today, and he's late..."

"Is it Gray?" Natsu asked as he pushed Gajeel's face away from the window.

"No, Natsu, It's not. Fortunately."

"Ye're happy that Ice Boy don' have to be here, aren' you?" Gajeel asked, wrestling Natsu's face off of his arm.

"Extremely," Macao told him, "At least, there are only two of you I'll have to manage today."

Levy and Lucy laughed.

"Boys..." Macao's patience was being testsed, "Will you stop fighting and just take a seat?"
