Chapter 4 :

Lucy toyed with her pencil as she stared out the window.

Natsu...

He'd been so adorable that day.

The way the atmosphere had just changed still got her heart racing whenever she thought about it.

Would they ever behave that way again?

She thought back to that morning when she'd entered the school's hallway.

"Hey, Luce!"

"Natsu?"

Lucy looked up with shock as the pink headed boy ran up to her.

"Over here. Quick, look, Luce!!"

Lucy studied his face.

It was smeared with mustard.

The boy stopped in front of her and bent over, a huge smile on his face as his eyes were closed.

"Take it off. Quick. Do what you did yesterday!!"

Lucy blanched, "Natsu!!"

"What?!"

"Aargh," Lucy couldn't believe it, "No way."

"Why not?" Natsu whined.

"'Coz this time, you did it on purpose."

Natsu frowned, "You don't know that!"

"Natsu...."

"Please, Luce? It felt so nice yesterday, I couldn't sleep!"

Lucy's cheeks flamed at the innocent way he said something like that.

The boy with the flame powers still stood in front of her, his eyes closed tight as though anticipating a kiss.

Lucy smiled tenderly and decided to remove the mustard.

That was, of course, before a masculine hand reached past her and removed a wad of mustard.

Lucy whirled around to see Laxus lick the mustard off his finger and make a face.

"Luce?" Natsu said softly.

Lucy sighed before turning back to Natsu who still stood with his eyes closed.

"You feel like an old man now... You even smell like one..."

Lucy giggled, "Natsu, open your eyes..."

Natsu opened his eyes to look at a smiling Lucy and then up at Laxus who still had mustard on his hand.

"Laxus!! You lightning idiot! I was tryin' to feel Lucy's touch again!!!"
