Chapter :

Levy lurched forward as someone pushed her.

"Hey," She said holding onto the hairband that kept her unruly, blue hair in place.

No one seemed to bother.

The students continued  to push and jostle each other as they walked and crowded into Fairy Tail High's main assembly hall.

Levy tried to catch a glimpse of Lucy but failed.

Another person pushed her roughly to the side and the slender bookworm stumbled.

A long hand grabbed her arm and pulled her out of the crowd of hurrying, excited students.

Levy closed her eyes tightly as she was dragged swiftly out of the pack of kids and opened her eyes slowly to look into red, piercing eyes.

Gajeel grinned, "'Sup, Shrimp?"

"GAJEEL!" Levy looked up at him with large, happy eyes.

Gajeel straightened and scratched the back of his head.

Why was shorty happy to see him?

She'd been extremely nice to him ever since that time he'd saved her from being that speeding car.

Then the little thing had ignored him all through  that morning.

And now she was happy to see him?

Gajeel bent slowly till his eyes were on the same level as her large ones.

He heard her stop talking softly and then swallow.

"Listen, Shorty." He said quietly, "I don' take kin'ly to bein' ignored. Yeh hear?"

Levy nodded slowly and meekly, her scared face only a few inches from his.

"Anyway," The metal-pierced man continued, over the loud noise the other kids were making beside them, "Why'dya think ol' Makarov called all of us today?"

Levy shook her head quickly.

Why wouldn't she talk?

He heard her heart beat quicken and her breathing become rapid.

Was she that afraid of him?

Geez.

"S' the matter?" He grinned, his face still leaning dangerously close to her, "Lily got your tongue?"

Just then, the idiot called Gray who happened to be his friends, bumped into him from behind.

Gajeel tipped over, closing the few inches between Levy's mouth and his.

"You stupid clod!" Gray yelled at Natsu for pushing him.

He turned slowly, "I'm really so-"

Gray's jaw dropped to the ground.

Gajeel, the metal pieced dumbo, was kissing Levy.
