Story time.

Uh, any Pokemon fans here?

Chapter 56:

(That's right, I counted.)

Lucy traced a finger gently down her golden key.

The one that opened Aries' gate.

She thought back to the things she'd read on her online search the previous night.

The one she'd tried when Natsu and Happy had snored their heads off in her bed.

The search had shown her many things.

The anima in the air and each  person's magic ability would soon wear away technology.

Luckily, scientists had begun concentrating the new found magic energy to give them an element capable of replacing technology.

Scrolling down, Lucy had read a few more articles and was able to summarize certain things.

Firstly, Lucy was a Stellar mage or Celestial Spirit Mage.

Next, other people had received powers and had transformed from regular humans to Celestial Spirits.

They were said, now, within the limited time of study, to have been given an extraordinarily long life and amazingly unique gifts. They had been changed into  magic beings altogether.

Unfortunately, each of these people were now tied to keys.

Some believed that soon, the people who'd become spirits would no longer be able to live in their land's conditions and would be forced into another realm altogether.

There was a hypothesis that that was what  the key was for.

To call them to come help.

Lucy sighed as she watched the golden key she'd placed on the cafeteria table.

That was so messed up.

What  about the families of the people who'd transformed?

The last thing she'd learned was what had both thrilled and frightened her.

Scientists who'd studied the special magic of Celestial Spirits had discovered that the spirits commanding the most amount of magic power were the twelve keys that formed the Zodiac.

The people who'd become Stellar mages had already begun collecting keys.

Those with Zodiac keys were considered more powerful than the rest.
