Here's the next chapter, you guys!
Chapter 70:
Levy lay sprawled across her bed, one hand supporting her face as she lay on her stomach.
She let a page from the folder in front of her, flip open.
An entire hour had been spent getting the first few pages read and she was still unsure of whether or not to write down all the names or just note the number in each team.
Suppressing a yawn, she reached for the laptop at her bedside table.
Erza had called her a while ago to tell her to go through the details the school had collected on all the teams that would be participating in the Magic Council's tests.
Just as Levy finally got a document open in her laptop, Levy's phone vibrated from across the room.
The petite girl groaned.
Sliding her legs off the side of her bed, she huffed slowly before striding all the way to the comfy couch her phone sat on.
The blue haired girl swiped through her phone to see a text from an unknown number.
It was short.
'Hey, Shrimp... I think I broke yer doorbell.'
Zeref strolled down the silent, empty street.
A cat scurried past and Zeref's lips twitched.
How amusing.
Bad luck to proceed further.
Zeref didn't say anything as he continued walking, pondering as it had become a habit. He'd taken to thinking deep theories or philosophies over or just observing things in a keener light than others would.
The dark mage walked on though, slowly shuffling to a stop just before the streetlamp that lit up a small radius of the pavement.
Light.
He should have never touched that when he was darkness.
Mavis should not have gone through the things she had.
Sometimes, Zeref wondered if he'd been thinking at all when he'd asked her if she'd like to see something fascinating.
The dark haired man leaned against the wall and let out the likeness of a sigh.
Fascinating?
The spell he'd taught her was more than that.
Dangerous.
Deadly.
Toxic.
Bordering on Life and Death.
That would have explained things better.
Maybe he'd done that on purpose.
Maybe he'd wanted to show her something he'd not been able to show anyone else for fear of the other's life.
He'd been selfish.
He hadn't cared that her life might be in danger.
He had wanted her to know the power he held.
