Chapter 39 :

Jellal casually put his arm around Erza.

The stunning redhead flinched slightly before relaxing back.

Jellal smiled.

They were on their way to the amusement park that Eric was taking Kinana to.

It hadn't gotten past the azure haired genius, that Levy and Mirajane had left shortly before he had arrived. Or that they'd left in the same direction that Kinana and Eric had taken a while ago.

As Jellal and Erza walked into the parking lot, Jellal wondered what Eric would do.

The Cobra had motion sickness and had told Jellal earlier that it had heightened after the Anima. What would he do on all those rides.

Natsu and Gajeel had motion sickness too. But at least they wouldn't be at the amusement park.

Or would they?

Erza's head jerked up as she watched Kinana and Eric get into Eric's car.

The shiny blue car drove out of the school's parking lot as Erza watched.

"Erza Scarlet."

The serious redhead jerked out of her thoughts.

"Hmmm?"

Jellal smiled, "This is my car."

"Ah."

He watched her do a little math in her head.

"Alright. I'll drive."

Jellal blinked.

The red head slid his keys out of his jeans' back pocket before walking over to the driver's seat to smile. "Please?"

"Um," Jellal had never been surprised by anyone before, "Of course."

Erza got into the car and Jellal took his seat next to her with a growing smirk. This was going to be fun. All his instincts told him that.

Laxus walked down the pavement with his bag over one muscular shoulder.

A car raced past him and he knew that that was Jellal's.

Did the boy usually drive at such neck breaking speed?

How was Eric going to get around these days? That was another matter on Laxus' mind.

The Cobra had been mildly motion sick before and had disliked driving. But what would happen after the Anima?

Laxus shook his head as he entered the drive to his house.

Herding his friends around would get infinitely worse now.

The thoughts that had been bothering and compelling his attention came flooding to his mind.

Laxus had fought long and hard but it was time.
