Detention! (Part I)

A/N: Hey!!

It's been a while but I was kinda busy with classes.

Time to post.

Going without writing for a while makes me distant from the story and I don't like that...

So anyway,

Chapter 15:

Levy licked her lips once. Then twice.

She stood in front of the detention room, unsure of whether to enter or wait for Lucy.

She huffed in exasperation.

Lucy was late. Again.

Looked like she'd have to enter then.

Levy's nervousness caught even herself off guard.

It wasn't that this was her first ever detention.

No, she'd somehow come to terms with that by being dissappointed with herself.

She was nervous of going inside for fear of seeing a certain metal pierced boy.

Levy whimpered.

Why?

What was happening to her?

And why her?

"Yo, Shrimp."

Levy jumped.

She looked up straight into Gajeel's sharp eyes.

He stared back at her, face pulled into the usual scary look.

"What ya doin' out here?"

"Uh..." What could she say?!?

"Don' tell meh ye're 'fraid o' detention?!"

"No!" Levy squealed, a little perplexed, "I was, um, waiting for Lucy."

She was.

So she wouldn't have to face Gajeel alone.

"Blondie, huh?"

"Yes. I mean, no, her name is Lucy."

Gajeel stared at her for a moment before giving her a grin. He pinched her cheek slightly, "Ye're a lil cutie, aren't cha?"

Levy slapped his hand away, a blush rushing across her cheeks.

"I, um, thought you'd be inside."

"You really thought I'd be on time for detention?" Gajeel asked.

Levy considered.

He had a good point.

"You guys!" Lucy's voice sounded from a little way off.

"Lucy!" Levy whirled around just in time to see Lucy run over to the two young students.

Lucy stopped in front of them and bent over to catch her breath.

Levy smiled, "Really, Lu! You're so late, Gajeel got here before you."

Gajeel bumped her on the arm, "Watch it, Shorty. I'm still here."

Levy looked up into his face and smiled.

Gajeel blinked.
