Surprise Visitors! (Part I)

Hey, Everyone!!

I'm back with chapter 5!

Chapter 5:

Laxus stretched, feeling his muscles ripple. He was at home in the living room, bored out of his mind.

His friend, Jellal, sat in an armchair, absorbed in a book.

"Whaddaya doin'?" Laxus asked, hands in his pocket, as he leaned against the wall.

"Reading," Jellal replied simply.

"I can see that." Laxus retorted.

Jellal's phone vibrated and he picked it up to answer.

"Hello? What is it, Gray?... Oh, I see... But I told yo- ... Ah. Well, It's partly your fault... Hm... Alright, take care."

Laxus went into the kitchen to get himself a drink. He lived with his grandfather in this big house and Jellal had been graciously invited to stay with them as it were closer to school.

It irked Laxus that his grandfather could be so gracious with his best friend but develop a cold sort of formality while addressing him.

At least the old man was permitting a friend to stay.

Finishing his glass of water, he went back to the living room.

"What did Gray say?"

Jellal was busy texting on his mobile. He looked up to acknowledge Laxus' question.

"Gray took the bus with Gajeel, Natsu and Cobra."

"Is he stupid?" Laxus couldn't believe his ears. "He knows those fools are incredibly motion sick."

"If he didn't know before, he does now." Jellal smirked the smirk that sent chills down everyone's spine.

Laxus wanted to roll his eyes. His friends were absolute idiots.

"Let's get some sun." He said, making his way to the door.

Jellal obediently followed, head still bowed as he fiddled with his phone.

Laxus opened the door and stepped out onto the porch. Shading his eyes, he watched the blue sky. Looked like a storm was coming.

Suddenly, the sound of squealing tires reached his ears. A shiny, red car screeched it's way onto his otherwise peaceful street.

The vehicle was at such speed that it was a miracle, it was visible to the naked eye.

It screeched to an abrupt halt in front of his house.

Laxus and Jellal exchanged glances and then looked back to the shiny car.

The front doors opened and out stepped Kinana and the red-haired new girl.

Laxus heard Jellal gasp?

He looked over to see the y oung man step behind a pillar, his palms sweaty and a rather nervous expression on his usually calm face.

Laxus gaped.

"Just what in the darned do you think you're doin'?" He asked, his expression one of absolute disbelief.

"It's her," Jellal pleaded, wiping his palms on his dark jeans.

Laxus stared at him and then back to the two girls making their way toward him.

The red-head shook her hair out of the way as she walked cooly towards the porch.

Jellal moaned.
