Chapter 92:

A slow sweat irritated the handsome blond dragon slayer.

Wiping at the back of his neck, he watched the arena that was being changed up for the next event.

He had a battle against Natsu Dragneel, the strong fire dragon slayer of Fairy Tail High...

Just the thought of facing off against such a powerful man sent a slow shiver down his spine.

He couldn't back off now...

He was their school's shining hope and idol.

Yukino had lost already and as the last battle of Sabertooth's for the day, he would be the one to ensure their victory.

Watching Mirajane tear Lyon Vastia apart had been enough to make all the schools step back when it came to facing Fairy Tail High in a fight.

Natsu Dragneel would probably be even more formidable.

"Sting..."

Yukino's sweet voice dragged him out of his thoughts, "Yukino?"

The pretty girl gave him a small smile, "You'll do well... I wish you wouldn't worry... You're our leader after all..."

Sting blinked, "Y-Yeah."

Turning back to glance down at the war zone, Sting decided that this battle would be his.

"Wish me luck, Luce!" Natsu grinned with a wave.

Lucy turned to her pink-headed friend, "Natsu! Do your best!!"

"You better tear him apart!" Gray hollered as Natsu began to run down the stairs.

"I plan to!!" Natsu yelled back.

Lucy and Gray grinned at each other.

Natsu would give it his all.

"Stupid stone..." Laxus muttered under his breath making his team sigh.

Mirajane giggled, "Laxus, I like emeralds..."

The lightning dragon-slayer didn't respond.

"Yo!"

The team jumped when Gajeel's scary face popped into the cozy, balcony styled room.

"Where's Salamander?"

"It's his turn to fight," Laxus informed the metal-pierced dragon slayer.

"Oh yeah?" Gajeel looked around, "Then where'd he go? Don't tell me he wimped out..."

Lucy sighed, "Down to the arena where normal people fight..."

Gajeel looked confused, "You sure?"

The team turned to him.

The metal-pierced man only frowned, "Can't get his scent anywhere around the entire stadium..."

Lucy couldn't explain the indescribable fear in her heart.
