Chapter 28:

Mirajane's silky hair fell over her shoulder as she leaned forward to spin the bottle again.

The bottle went round and round and round until...

Mirajane stopped the bottle with a sigh and looked over at Kinana.

"Kinana, what's wrong?"

Every girl swirled around to see Kinana's sad expression.

Kinana looked up, blinked and then smiled. "Nothing. I'm fine."

"Are you sure?" Levy asked the question this time. "Kinana, you're our girl. What's bugging you?"

Kinana looked around at the concerned faces before she sighed.

"It's nothing really just..."

Mirajane placed the bottle back down and settled down into her pillow.

Kinana's resolve began to crumble and Mirajane would be there for her friend no matter what the matter, that worried her, was.

Kinana looked up into Levy's eyes as it was always easier to talk to her.

"I... I need to tell you guys something."

Levy gave her an encouraging look.

"Um... before I joined Fairy Tail, I didn't have many friends."

Juvia nodded, "Juvia didn't either. Only bullies kept Juvia company."

Kinana nodded and felt as though it was easier to talk now.

She wasn't on a stage.

She was just telling her friends what had been bothering her.

Kinana looked at Mira's face now and somehow, everything on her mind just spilled out, "I didn't have any friends. When the bullies bothered me, Eric got rid of them for me."

Kinana heard Juvia gasp.

"You're childhood friend was Eric? The Cobra?"

Kinana smiled when Levy's jaw dropped.

"Yeah, He was a really close friend of mine. Years passed and we moved away... I forgot his name and a lot of things about him but I remembered his voice."

Lucy and Levy leaned forward.

"So, um, that day in the library when Ms. Carla asked Eric to-"

"Ms. Carla asked Eric to help you!!" Levy gasped.

Kinana smiled, "Yes, and then, um, he told me who he was an-"

"And you remembered!!" Levy screamed again.

"Yes," Kinana smiled, "He left really soon after that but I was really happy to meet him again. He's changed so much in appearence. The other day, at the competi-"

"He was there!!"

Lucy clamped a hand over Levy's mouth, "Go on, Kinana."

Kinana giggled. "So, uh, That's it... Eric was my childhood friend. I'm so glad I remembered. He's the sweetest."
