Chapter 82:

"That's two days."

Erik nodded as Jellal talked, "Today and Tomorrow and then it's 'hello, tests'."

"Right."

Erik glanced back at the multiple papers scattered across the desk that sat in the middle of an empty class room.

"So, what's this?"

Jellal freed a hand from under the large cape that hung till his feet, "These are the things we get done by then. Something's off, something the Council isn't telling us."

Erik scanned the paper Jellal handed him, "Hmm, these are the names of schools."

"Yes," Jellal agreed, "Lamia Scale, Mermaid Heel, Phantom Lord, Raven Tail, Sabertooth and Fairy Tail."

Erik raised an eyebrow, "Raven Tail."

"Yes," Jellal studied the poison dragon slayer, "I would suppose you know more about the school than the library can offer."

"Oh yeah," Erik smirked without another word.

Jellal sighed.

Getting the guy to tell him what he knew would soon become troublesome.

Erik's smirk grew and Jellal cursed internally.

The mind reading ability the Cobra used all the time never really helped things.

"Where are the others?"

Jellal glanced around the empty room once before replying, "Levy and Gajeel have left to inspect Sabertooth and get their report of admission. Meredy's at Lamia Scale as we speak and the rest..."

"You have no idea."

"Yes..." Jellal stepped to the door to glance out before stepping back in, "I believe the two people I've just seen, dragging a defenseless man down the corridor, would be Cana and Erza."

Erik nodded, "Sounds like 'em."

Jellal walked back over to the desk, "I'm extremely glad you've agreed to help with the team, Erik. We need your abilities and magic."

There was a shift in Erik's gaze and Jellal sighed.

Kinana entered the room as the cobra watched her, to fiddle through one of the drawers and slide out a paper. She studied the sheet carefully before smiling to herself and getting off the floor, making her way out of the room through the door.
