"Dixon's got a kid?" Keith asks, mirroring the group's thoughts.
"Is that right?" Joe asks, nodding his head in Sakiko's direction, "That your daughter?"
"Yeah," Daryl nods, squaring his shoulders, "She is."
"Who are these shitheads?" Sakiko asks.
"She's got a mouth on her," Len comments.
"Gotta say.. I see the family resemblance," one of the men toward the back snickers.
"Big word coming from your trailer park, weasel looking, trash hole of a mouth," Sakiko fires back.
"Kiko," Daryl warns, motioning with his hand for her to calm down.
Joe raises an eyebrow at the one that made the 'joke' before locking eyes with Daryl again.
"Okay," he nods, "Well, I guess it's family reunion time. Congratulations."
He holds his hand out to Ryan who looks to Daryl. Slowly, Daryl nods in approval and Ryan reaches out- shaking the leader's hand.
"I'm Joe," he greets.
"Ryan," Ryan names, stepping back away from him again.
"And.. Sai-kee-co?" Joe sounds out.
"Sakiko," Daryl corrects, "Say it right or don't say it at all."
"Ki," Joe decides, "Nice to meet you, darling."
"Wish I could say the same," Sakiko glares, carefully putting her knife away, her hand lingering just in case.
"Dixon, I'm sure you can relay the rules on to our newbies. Let's keep on before we lose the daylight."
Joe continues the march on, the men following without argument. Once in the back, Daryl tugs at Sakiko's sleeve to follow and Ryan falls in line beside them. As they're stepping back onto the tracks, Daryl leans between the couple- whispering so only they could hear.
"The second you see the chance, get outta here."
"What about you?" Sakiko questions, just as quiet.
"I'll keep 'em distracted. You two gotta get away."
--
Later that night, the group was settling in a crowd among a campfire- all except Daryl, Sakiko, and Ryan.
"I thought I saw Glenn get out with Tyreese, but it was hard to tell," Ryan sighs, resting his head against the tree, "There were too many walkers. Too many to see anything at all."
"Is the prison really gone?" Sakiko asks, hope in her eyes.
Hope that Daryl hated to take away with reality.
"Yeah. Without the fences, it's not safe. It's gone."
Sakiko's eyes drift to her boots where her eyes settle into a look that could only be described best as a sad glare.
"Nanami is still there," she quietly says, "I left him again."
"Hey-" Daryl begins, words falling short as Joe walks over.
"Warmth is over there. I get y'all is family and wanna stay cuddled tight, but it's best we stick together," he points between the three.
"We're all right," Daryl shoots him a look, "Just catching up."
"Look-" Joe tries to argue.
"I'm pregnant," Sakiko blurts out.
The three men's eyes fall to her wide, none of them sure on what to say.
