"Well.. shit."
Nanami scoffs, nudging Sakiko's shoulder with a pointed look.
"So, dude just.. snapped?" she asks, stepping over one of the puddles of blood.
The three keep their voices down as Deanna was still on the ground- soaked in her husbands blood as she silently cried.
"We got back right in the middle of it," Nanami nods, "Morgan helped us and told us he knew Rick. So, we figured we had to get back as soon as we could. Walked right in to Rick shooting Pete."
"Damn," Sakiko quirks an eyebrow, "Me and Carl were playing Street Fighter."
"Good thing you were. It wasn't a pretty sight," Daryl adds, tossing Sakiko a towel.
"Fuck you think I am? Trauma cleaning services?" she asks, throwing it back to him.
"You used to like sweeping the prison," Daryl argues, throwing the rag back at her.
"It's different now. I have a life," she decides to throw the rag to Nanami instead.
"I just got back from a run," Nanami glares, tossing the rag in Daryl's direction.
Daryl sidesteps it and it instead hits Jessie who was walking into the area.
"Oh, shit," Nanami panics, "I- I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
Jessie sniffles, her eyes as red as the blood of Reg Monroe and Pete Anderson on the ground. She doesn't say anything, keeping her head low as she continues past to pick up Pete's jacket off the ground where Abraham had left it upon her request. She folds the jacket of her late husband, placing it over her arm. With a choked cry, she walks back out the area.
"Smooth move, dipshit," Sakiko hisses, pinching Nanami's arm.
"Why did you move?" he points to Daryl, "God, I'm such an asshole."
Abraham walks in next, a tarp in hand meant for Reg's body.
"Someone wanna help me get Julie Andrews away from the corpse so I can bury the man?" he asks.
"Pssh," Sakiko scoffs, spinning away on her heels, "I've had enough excitement for today. You can take care of that- cause I'll hurt her feelings if you make me do it."
"You've been chilling all day doing nothing and playing video games, what kind of 'excitement' did you go through?" Nanami questions.
"Oh, wouldn't you like to know the horrors I felt today," she shivers, walking backwards out of the little area.
A pregnancy scare was enough to send an army of men to their early grave if you asked Sakiko. But, Daryl and Nanami didn't have to know that. That would stay her, Rosita, and Maggie's little secret. Well.. Carl, too, because she let it slip when they were playing games. That's beside the point. Her father and brother didn't need to know she was close to having a whole ass kid in her stomach- that was too personal.
"Fine. Get some food and rest for the night. Gonna be a long day tomorrow," Daryl orders.
"You go ahead, too," Nanami urges, "I'll help out here. You did most the work today with tracking. Go kick your feet up and make sure Rick doesn't get trigger happy with anyone else."
"You sure?" he asks.
"Yeah, go on," Nanami waves off.
"I can make us dinner," Sakiko offers, "Ryan picked it up from storage a bit before shit went down. He went to check on Glenn and Tara. Maggie's still there, too. So, I can get dinner started."
Daryl knew a responsible man would stick around and help do the heavy lifting of separating the bodies and preparing them to be buried.
"All right," he shrugs, following Sakiko.
