Being in one van with the entire group was better than being stuck in a car with just Sakiko and Daryl, Nanami decides.

Sure he and Tara kept hitting each other in the side with their elbows when trying to squirm to get feeling back in their legs. Speaking of legs, sure Sasha's knee was pressing through the seat and into his back but he didn't have the heart to tell her that he was uncomfortable.

But, the silent nature was better than the tense silence if he was with his family.

The vehicle slows down until it stops.

"We're out," Abraham announces from the driver's seat, "Just like the other one."

"So, we walk," Rick reassures.

Nanami thinks that would be better. Get space between them even more. Room to breathe.

The doors open and everyone begins piling out.

"Before we head out, we should scope the area. Try and find.." Rick hesitates, "Anything. We still got the van so we've still got a base. Travel in twos and threes."

Nanami turns to look for.. anyone. But, Daryl heads into the woods alone as Sakiko, Ryan, and Rosita go another way. Sophia begins walking toward him and he sighs as he remembers Glenn's words. But, maybe this was what they needed. He could figure out.. whatever it was.

"Buddy system?" she asks.

"I'm thinking to take the higher ground. Get more field view," Nanami nods.

"Sure," Sophia nods, following behind him until she's by his side.

Nanami already felt the awkwardness seep into the air.

"Picking anything up?" Ryan asks.

Sakiko hums, taking a quiet step in a weird crouched position, "Nothing."

"How'd you learn to track? Your dad?" Rosita asks.

"Mhm," Sakiko nods, standing up straight.

"You like to learn a lot?"

"I think I just pick up on everything from everyone else. Tracking, hunting, weapons, starting fires.. I just watch and learn, I guess."

"Me too," Rosita nods with a fond smile.

"And yet you almost failed how many grades how many times?" Ryan teases.

"First of all, school is a system of popularity and bullshit- it teaches nothing. Second, my teachers hated me and did it on purpose."

"Sure thing," Ryan nods, scrunching his nose.

"Says the guy that has like zero personality," Sakiko plays back.

"That's bull," Ryan scoffs, "You-"

"Dude, you're like dry as hell," Sakiko teases.

"Unlike you last week."

"Whoa, okay," Rosita turns on her heels, "If you two are gonna get down and dirty in the mud, I'm leaving."

"Girl, we had to put up with you and Lucky Charms bumping uglies for two days!"

"'Lucky Charm'?" Rosita repeats.

"Hair," Ryan answers shortly.

"He's not even Irish," Rosita defends.

"Okay, so a trailer park leprechaun," Sakiko shrugs.

"Riding rainbows by day and roping cows at night," Ryan nods.
