Chapter 25

For the past couple of weekends these meet ups have become more frequent with Catalina visiting Madrid whenever she had the chance. It was at first every other Saturday but now it was basically every Saturday and occasionally Sundays as well. Her disappearance did cause many questions to arise especially with the boys as they were use to her spending the weekends with them.

Since she did promise with her brother Leo to be more honest she did tell him the truth which he still wasn't 100% on board with. The rest of the boys didn't know the real reason except for Neymar as everyone else believed she just had business over there. This also caused some clashes with her working schedule but she tried to find balance between it all. Not only that but the constant back and forth messed up her wardrobe as she was now sure that a good amount of her clothes resides in Cristiano's guest bedroom that was reserved for her.

As a matter of a fact she was currently packing up some new clothes to take over for her visit today. Earlier she texted Cris complaining about her wardrobe but all he did was send a photo of Junior waiting on her bed as he waited her arrival. Her heart swelled at the site and she made motion to post it on her Instagram but then was reminded that she couldn't exactly do that. Her friendship with Cris hasn't been outed yet and it's not that they were embarrassed over each or at least she hope that wasn't the case for him, but it was a matter of enjoying the privacy while they had it. They were more than sure if they were to do a recap of the ice cream event that they wouldn't even be able to scoop it before being flashed with dozen of cameras.

She just finished texting Cristiano that she was on her way to her jet when she got a call from Leo. Thinking it was him calling to complain about her trip as he knew where she was going she was going to deny it before deciding against it. In the end it was good that she didn't as he called to ask if she could watch little Mateo, as Antonella and him were taking Thiago to the hospital as he wasn't feeling good and was having trouble breathing. Immediately she agreed and not cene ten minutes later Mateo was at her door with a very concerned Leo.

"Hola, amor" Lina greeted him as she also didn't want to scare the boy with being worried.

"Tía Lina" he greeted her with a big hug and a wet kiss on the cheek.

"Papá said I get to stay at your house for a while so we can play all day long" he screeched before taking off to most likely find Pluto and Cosmo.

"Thanks for doing this hermana. Hopefully we'll be back before tonight, but if not I packed Mateo a change of clothes" he motioned to the bag in his hand but Catalina pulled him in for a hug knowing he needed the comfort. No parent ever likes seeing their child in pain.

"Estará bien, hermano. Thiago es un niño fuerte" she reassured before waving to bye to both him and Antonella in the car.

Now to deal with Mateo because as much as she loved her nephew he was also a handful.

Cristiano wouldn't describe himself as clingy. Well maybe he did because right now Catalina was 10 minutes late to when she was suppose to arrive. With his calculations being correct the jet landed 40 minutes ago and the drive was approximately 20 minutes to his house so either she got stuck in traffic or their was a delay on her jet. Since he didn't have a text from her he obviously assumed the worst. Pacing the floor of his living room he watched as a sad Junior slumped against the couch looking out the window only to be meet with an empty driveway.

"Pai when's Lina getting here" Junior asked as he spent all day waiting for her to get here so he could play football with her.

"Any minute now" he tried to assure but he was doubting himself.

He tried calling Catalina again but to no anvil she didn't answer. A mad man as probably how he looked but he didn't care as every message went unread. Finally being desperate enough he called the airport to see if her plane landed and after giving specific details they finally informed him that it never left Barcelona. He reminded himself to thank Catalina on leaving her plane information otherwise they wouldn't have let him know anything. Knowing that all his guesses were wrong he now had to assume why she didn't answer him. After sitting and thinking about all he could do he finally came up with a solution.
