Chapter 6

"Ney I'm going home" Catalina shouted out and her voice echoed off the walls of his house.

"Wait I thought you were going to help me finish setting up" Neymar protested as he walked towards her from where he was once outside.

"Well I was, but I'm now in charge of bringing Dani here since Luis and Leo failed"

The two footballers were charged with bringing Dani to the house without him suspecting anything but they failed. Apparently the cake they ordered him was put in as a pick up order all the way in Manresa so they wouldn't be able to distract him. She would've charged his wife with the role but she was out getting his gift with their kids so he wouldn't be that suspicious of where they were at.

"Just ask Geri to do it" they looked at each other in silence after his comment and both busted out laughing.

One thing to know about Geri was that he was horrible at keeping secrets as you can pick up on his lies right away. There was even this one time where they planned on surprising Pep with a cake for his birthday and when they showed up to practice Geri spilled the beans half way through. Nonetheless when Catalina showed up with the cake she wasn't surprised as she already knew something like that was going to happen.

"Alright see you later and when you come go through the front so he doesn't see the cars parked in the back" Ney commented as he didn't want him to figure out the surprise before he even seen all the guest.

"Got it" grabbing her keys to her Mercedes' she left and was on her way to her house to change before picking up the man of the hour.

Catalina was getting ready for the party as they gave Dani the excuse of going out to dinner with the team so he wouldn't find it suspicious that she's dressed up. Although she didn't really think he would've picked up on her outfit in the first place as she's always dressed up. She was curling her naturally wavy/curly hair when her phone went off not once but twice.

Cris
Will you be at the party today?
I was hoping you would save me a dance.

Reading the messages she giggled like a school girl. Ever since she gave him, her number they've texted here and there, but it was always short and simple as she didn't want to give him false hope. She knew her family and the media would never approve of their blooming relationship, but she couldn't help it something about him drew her in. Maybe it was the fact that they shouldn't be speaking to each other that started the spark, but they didn't question it and just followed down the danger that they were heading towards.

Of course I'll be there I'm the one who organized everything with Ney and about the dance I'm not so sure.

She would love to dance with him but she knew for a fact that the room would be swarmed with Barcelona players and that spelt disaster if they caught her even looking at their all time enemy.

Cris
And why not? Afraid of me up showing you up.

Catalina
Far from that. I think it would be the other way around, but I'm not so sure with our circumstances.

Cris
I don't mind them.

She read his response and froze for a little bit not knowing how to reply while the other forward awaited her response eagerly almost afraid he pushed her too much.

Catalina
I'll see about the whole dance thing later.

Putting away the phone she focused on the task at hand and that's prepping herself for the party. She's used to wearing suits and her designer clothes for regular outings so she decided on a change of style for the night. Her outfit was a little more risky in certain areas as she was use to covering herself up and staying modest, but occasionally she would be a bit more daring. Putting on her skirt and top she could already see the disapproving glares from her brothers but she didn't care as it was too late to worry about it.
