"So you ever going to tell me what actually happened between you and Cristiano" Neymar bugged her for what seemed like the hundredth time in there way to the race.
Ahh yes while they watched qualifiers the other day the actual big day happened in a blink of an eye. True to her word Catalina kept her outfit as she knows best bright and bold. She was sure it would catch eyes from several people seeing as the bright red would be hard to hide, but then again she would be surrounded by the red wave that Ferrari called fans. After her talk with Cris she shut down any attempts from Ney to hear the truth but now it was eating her alive, begging her to tell someone.
"If I tell you, you promise not to really anyone" Neymar was known to be quite the gossip but she hoped he would avid the the best friend code.
"Pinky promise" and like little kids they linked pinkies and kissed their hands the seal the deal.
"Ok so basically Cris wants to get back together but I told him no and then he suggested we fake date because of the fans" she scoffed and the audacity of the man to suggest such a thing.
"He's that desperate to stay in your life" Neymar laughed at the thought of an all too confident Ronaldo practically kissing Catalina's feet so she wouldn't disappear from his life.
"I'm not going to lie it's sweet in a way but also completely controlling" if she thought of it too much like she did for the last few night she would think of how this was sort of toxic on his part.
"So what are you going to do about it? You told him no, right?" he thought he knew her initial answer but stopped smiling once he realized she had a look of doubt.
"You did tell him no, right?" the panic in his voice must of snapped her out of her daze.
"Not exactly" she hesitated on admitting it knowing his reaction wouldn't be good.
"Catalina" he scolded like he would to his child.
"I'm sorry but his overall idea of it wasn't that bad. I mean it is nice seeing the fans get along for once and there being no immediate hate upon one another. Plus it would only be for like a year or so" admittedly so it was a long time but one she would pay the price for if it meant no more hate or death threats from one fan base to another.
"Hermana I love you but a year is quite long. That's 12 months you could be living it up as a hot, single, famous, athlete" life doesn't get much better than that in his opinion.
"I know the consequences Ney, but it's not like I'm eager to see someone after what happened between Cris and I" dating was off the list for her for the time being.
"What about Carlos or Lewis, you don't see anything happening with them" literally anyone at this point would be better than that noodle head.
"Lewis is hot and all but I think he's just being flirty and friendly. Carlos...well I don't know what will happen but we're friend right now and IF-IF anything was to happen between us I would immediately cut Cris off. Even if we aren't technically together I would never cheat" the If, was a very big one as she couldn't predict what the future held.
"So your going to go through with this" Ney would support her no matter what but still he has some resentment towards the man.
"Maybe, I just want to enjoy myself while we're here, then I'll think about it" she was in Brazil and she was going to live up her short vacation and then ultimately when she was back home then and only then she would decide.
"Let just get going to the race" she changed the subject wanting this topic to be done and over with.
