Year 845. Shiganshina District
As a person who was always on time, Armin was uncharacteristically late to where the two of you usually hung out. You closed your journal, getting a small whiff of the pages. You had been sitting here for quite a bit so your legs had to adjust a bit as you stood from the ground.
After your eyes wandered across the area that was around, you decided to walk around to get more views of Shiganshina. That was when you heard a distant shouting before Eren came out from between two houses.
"Eren? What's wrong?" You could see the distressed look on his face and before he could reply, you heard a couple of voices. Just around the corner came familiar voices, which Eren immediately ran towards. Mikasa came in running through the bushes and urged you to follow her, thinking about the possibility of where Armin would be.
When you took a sharp turn around the corner, you saw the three bullies around Armin with their fists up. The confidence in their expressions drained when they saw Mikasa they immediately had the color drained out of their faces. They all waddled off in fear down the street as a result.
"Heh, that's all it takes, one look! I'm just that scary!" Eren cheered for himself as you all glared at him.
"Well, um... one of you is."
Smiling at the familiar sentence, you then glanced at Armin. He had tried to get up but he fell back on the floor, so you decided to try and help him.
"'Min, are you alright?" You asked him as he looked up at your hand. He looked back down before getting up himself, using his hands to rid himself of dirt.
Shaking his head, he replied, "It's alright. Thank you," with a small smile. You felt slightly disappointed as he stood up himself instead of grabbing your hand. As long as he wasn't seriously hurt, that was all that mattered to you anyway.
