One week after meeting the trio...
"[Name]!!" You looked up from the book you were reading, seeing your new blond friend running up the hill you sat on. "I wanna show you something!"
Closing the book about nature you held, you noticed Armin carrying a huge book that looked somewhat ancient. "What's that big book for?"
"I already showed Mikasa and Eren this, so I'm showing you now. You gotta promise not to tell a soul. Not even your parents," Armin informed with a look of seriousness, setting the book on the grass as he sat. "It's a book on the outside world!"
You watched the pages flip rapidly, seeing a multitude of images before looking up at him, a frown growing on your face in concern. This type of content in books was forbidden within the walls. "Um... Armin?"
"Huh? Are you... not interested?" A worried expression was implanted on his face.
"No, I'm very interested. It's just... Isn't this book technically illegal to have? You'll get in trouble if the government finds out!"
"Don't worry about that! You'd change your mind if you saw what was out there!" He cheerfully said, not paying attention to any consequence you mentioned. At that point, you gave up trying to reason with him. "Here, look!"
His fingers slid the pages one by one rapidly. All the pages that flashed before you held fascinating information, including one about this so-called ocean of salt. It would be impossible to extract all the salt from it, according to Armin.
"It's brilliant, right?" He grinned brightly.
After spending hours babbling about the world outside the walls, the sky soon turned dark, meaning that you had to head home as quickly as possible. Your parents scolded you for being out so late, but you didn't mind.
