Spring Worries About Making Friends and Stones is an Extrovert
Ship - Spring and Stones (friendly)
Era - Modern
Triggers - Toxic masculinity.Spring clung to Race's leg as he was led to his death. It wasn't actually his death, just school. But to him it felt like death.
"Please don't make me go in," he begged Race and Miss Medda. "What if I don't make any friends and then I'll be lonely. I won't be lonely if you let me stay with you."
"I have to go to school too but I know you'll make friends," Race promised. "You don't even have to try. You're so cool, everyone will want to be your friend."
Spring nodded and loosened his grip on Race's leg.
"Will you collect me after school?" Spring asked. "I want you to collect me."
"I can't buddy, I'm still in school when you finish," Race explained.
"But I will pick you up and Race will see you once he gets home from school," Meade reassured the younger boy.
Spring nodded. "Okay. Bye Race. Bye Miss Medda."
"Bye Spring. Have a good day." Race kissed him on the forehead before sending him into the school.
Medda did the same and passed the boy his school bag.
Spring stood awkwardly in the hallway. He'd been to the school for a tour before but when he saw all the other people there, he forgot everything.
"Hi." A boy came up to him. "I'm Stones. I saw you with Race. He's my brothers' friend."
"He's my brother," Spring explained.
"No way," Stones exclaimed. "We're best friends now-" Stones linked arms with Spring. "-since Spot and Race are best friends and Spot is my brother and Race is yours."
Spring smiled, he loved the boy's infectious personality.
"Who's your teacher?" Stones asked, leading Spring in the direction of his classroom, even if Spring wasn't in his class.
"I have Ms. Taylor," Spring said. "I'm Spring, by the way."
"I have Ms. Taylor too." Spring grinned, happy to have his newly best friend in his class.
"We should sit beside each other," Spring suggested. "Since we're best friends. And best friends sit beside each other."
"That's such a good idea. She's really nice and let's you sit wherever you want on the first day."
"Really? The teachers at my old school were really mean and wouldn't even let us sit with our friends," Spring explained. "It wasn't too bad though. I didn't have any friends to sit beside."
Stones frowned. "Well now you do." He threw up some jazz hands to further his point.
Spring smiled as he was led into the classroom.
"Ms. Taylor," Stones called out, waving his free hand frantically. "This is Spring. He's new here and we're best friends so we're going to sit beside each other."
