Date night was the highlight of both of the boys' weeks.

Sometimes their lives could be quite busy and they didn't get to talk as much as they would have liked to but they always had date night.

Every Friday, though it could be moved to a different day if absolutely necessary but otherwise it was always on a Friday.

They usually went to the movies and then got pizza or a take-away for dinner. They'd always sleep over at one of their houses, switching each week.

That week they'd decided to mix the plans up a bit.

Or there wasn't a movie that they wanted to see on.

So they decided to go for a walk around Central Park, then go see the new show opening at Medda's.

Medda said that they could order a pizza to the apartment once they got back and stay over there that night.

Both boys couldn't have been more happy.

Granted, they would have been happy with anything so long as they were together.

Jack picked Davey up a six so they could have plenty of time to stroll around and talk.

"You look amazing," Jack said.

Davey was wearing a white shirt with a brown vest over it.

Jack was wearing one of his nicer blue shirts with a grey vest on top.

Davey blushed and hugged Jack. "You look handsome," he commented from his place in his boyfriend's arms.

Davey pulled away from the hug and held his arm out for Jack.

"Shall we?" he asked in his best imitation of Jack's voice.

Jack chuckled and looped his arm around Davey's. "Gladly, but that sounds nothing like me."

"It sounds exactly like you," Davey stated, a grin on his face.

"Sure, exactly like me," Jack joked.

Jack started to walk Davey to Central Park, the couple chatting away happily.

"I'm just saying," Jack started, his arms waving wildly. "Being made read classics is boring and makes people not want to read."

"But it also helps people to get into classics," Davey argued.

"Maybe that's the point," Jack pointed out. "Nobody would willingly read them if they weren't-"

Davey noticed that Jack had grown quiet and looked over at him.

"Jack, is everything okay?" he asked.

Jack didn't answer him and kept looking straight ahead, not even blinking.

He was much paler than usual and Davey could feel his hands shaking.
