Mush groaned as a wave of pain shot through his stomach.

"Why does this have to happen today?" he muttered to himself.

He wrapped his arms around himself.  as another wave of pain hit him.

"Hey, is everything okay? I heard you groaning a bit," Blink asked, walking into the bathroom.

Mush held his arm out to Blink. "I'm fine. I just feel kind of sick, I'm sure it'll go away in a minute."

Blink sat down next to his husband and wrapped an arm around his shoulders.

"Okay. I'll stay here with you as long as you need."

"What about tonight? It's supposed to be our special night and I've ruined it," he admitted.

"You haven't ruined. We still have next year and every year after that to celebrate our anniversary," Blink reassured him.

"I know it's just-"

Mush's face went pale as his sentence was cut short.

"What's wrong love?" Blink asked.

Mush shook his head and pointed to his stomach.

Blink pressed his lips to Mush's forehead, trying to see if he had a fever. "Is it just really sore or do you think you're going to be sick?"

"I think it's both," Mush muttered.

Deciding that he quite liked the tiling on the bathroom floors, Mush tried to melt and join them.

"Okay," Blink slowly whispered. "Let's sit you up so if you think you're going to be sick you can just lean over the toilet."

Mush didn't respond but let Blink lift him up slowly and rest him against the side of the bath.

"Can you please hold me?" Mush asked quietly.

"Of course sweetheart." Blink moved so Mush was lying against him. He brushed the fringe out of Mush's face.

Mush closed his eyes and enjoyed being in his husband's embrace.

"I'm going to have a nap," he stated.

Blink held back a laugh at what he knew was to come from the tired Mush.

"Okay, you have a nap, I'll be right here the whole time."

Mush drifted to sleep, mumbling incoherently as he did so.

Blink lifted Mush up from the ground and carried him bridal style through their apartment into their bedroom.

He lay his husband down on the bed.

Making his way to the closet, he pulled out one of his hoodies for Mush and a pair of shorts.

He changed his husband's clothes before getting the basin from the kitchen in case he needed it.

Once he was finished making sure Mush would be okay if he woke up feeling sick, he started to get himself ready to join him in bed.

He cuddled into Mush's side, pressing a light kiss to his forehead.

Turning off their bedside lights, he closed his eyes to join his husband in sleep.

Mush woke later that evening to the feeling of hands running trough his hair and a body pressed against him.

Blinking his eyes open, he saw Blink sitting up, scrolling through his phone.

"What time is it?" Mush asked tiredly.

He never understood that.

How he went to sleep tired and then woke up more tired.

It seemed like false advertising to him.

"It's about four," Blink told him. "Are you feeling any better?"

Mush shrugged and lifted himself up so he was sitting up beside his husband.

"Not really. I don't feel as dizzy or nauseous but I still feel not great," he explained.

"Okay. How does a lazy evening sound?" Blink suggested. "Stay here, watch some movies, cuddle, ignore all of society."

Mush smiled. "That sounds great. But what about the dinner reservation and our night out? It's our anniversary, you don't have to have it ruined just because I'm not feeling great."

Blink shook his head. "I don't need a fancy dinner or anything. All I need is to be with you and have you close to me and how closer can we get than cuddles."

Mush smiled and leaned across Blink to grab his laptop.

"We should watch a musical," Mush stated once he was back sitting upright.

"I second that," Blink said, pressing a kiss to Mush's forehead.
