Chapter 80 - Specs x Romeo

(I had no clue what to write so this is just a collection of different Spromeo kisses. I apologise but it's pretty much all fluff)

14 years old, modern era.

Romeo stared at Specs as they lay on his bedroom floor, attempting to do a science project.

They weren't getting very far as they went off topic and started laughing every five minutes.

"Have you ever thought about kissing?" Romeo asked suddenly, distracting them yet again from the project.

Specs blinked. "What do you mean? Of course I've thought about kissing, it's in, like, every show and movie."

"No, like, kissing people. How are we supposed to know how to kiss?"

"I dunno. Maybe we're just supposed to know," Specs suggested. "Maybe we'll know how to do it."

"What if we don't? Maybe we should practice."

"Do you want to? Won't it be weird since we're best friends?"

"No, we're only practicing so it won't count."

"Okay."

Specs moved towards Romeo, unsure of what he should do.

"You put your hand on my hip and I can put mine around my neck," Romeo instructed, trying to remember how he'd seen it done in movies.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. It'll be fine, we're only practicing."

Romeo leaned forward slowly, gently placing his hand on Specs' cheek.

"Is this okay?" he asked quietly. He didn't want Specs to feel forced into anything.

"Yeah. I like it."

Romeo pressed his lips to Specs', kissing him.

The kiss was awkward and neither of them were exactly sure how they were supposed to do things but the something there didn't go amiss.

When they pulled apart a few moments later, both of the boys were breathless and a light blush was evident on both their cheeks.

"That was-" Specs searched for a word that wouldn't hurt Romeo's feelings. "-interesting."

"It was bad, wasn't it?" Romeo laughed, earning a small chuckle from Specs.

"No," Specs lied. "It wasn't bad. It just wasn't amazing."

"At least we'll be practiced," Romeo offered.

"Yeah. I suppose."

"Want to try again?"

"Yeah."
