Lloyd

After the meeting with the other ninja Lloyd had practically had just done homework. Though he had to admit, he wasn't doing a good job of it. Lloyd's mind dwelled on the theory that a new threat had come upon Ninjago City. Lloyd had indeed noticed that there had been almost no criminal activities for a while and usually their small ones that the Ninja dealt with from time to time even if they were small. Now, the police could handle everything. It was like there was nothing left for the ninja to do but wait for the next attack. Lloyd couldn't understand how or why but he knew something big was coming...and it was coming soon.

Lloyd turned to look at a framed picture on his dresser. Him, his dad, mom, and uncle were all huddled in the photo. They looked so happy back then, but all of that changed when Lloyd's dad had died. Misako grew distant and got the job as a history teacher, criminals and gangs started popping up out of nowhere and his uncle left to teach a generation of Ninja to protect the city.

Lloyd was about nine when Wu started training the others. He worked with each of them individually on certain days of the week. After about a year of hard training the ninja were introduced to each other and before they knew it Wu had left them on their own to figure out how to stop the villains and gangs. The five had been working together ever since.

The night before his father had died Lloyd had been taken hostage by someone. He never found out who this mysterious person was, neither did anyone else. His father...had come to get him out of there and died saving his life. Lloyd had never felt more hopeless than he had felt back then, and he had sworn to get stronger in order that it would never happen again.

After his dad had died, Lloyd had stayed at his body, waiting...hoping for a miracle. Uncle Wu had found him, and Lloyd apparently had been so distraught that he glowed with an aura. That was how Wu figured out he was the Green Ninja.

Although Lloyd was nine, he somehow began aging at a ridiculous speed. In which within one year he had the looks of a sixteen-year-old. Wu believed that the person who kidnapped Lloyd had put some sort of spell or something to make him age, but Wu was never able to confirm it. During that year of aging he also trained with Wu, but soon after the year was up, and he had mastered his skills Wu had left...Lloyd never saw him again.

Life has been the same ever since. School, ninja, eat, homework, sleep. The ninja part could come any time though.

Lloyd sighed and looked away from the picture, it just brought back sad memories...memories that he needed to move on from but couldn't. It would just weigh him down, yet it hurt to forget it. Lloyd looked back to his desk and realized he had gotten almost nothing done in his homework.

Lloyd thought about his friends. They were all so different yet one thing seemed to bring most of them together. They had all lost someone important to them. Zane had lost his mother, Cole also lost his mother, Nya didn't know what happened to her parents, Jay was adopted and had never met his biological family, Kai...Lloyd didn't know who Kai had lost, but he was sure the guy had also lost his parents because Nya and him were siblings, and Lloyd had lost his dad. They all had their own difficult moments of life and that brought the six together. Of course, there were plenty of other reasons why they were friends, but loss was a big factor of it. At least that's how it was for Lloyd. He just felt safe around the others, like they understood him in a way others couldn't.

Within the next couple of hours Lloyd was able to finish his homework. Lloyd stood up and stretched, he turned around to find it dark outside. "Aw man...I hate homework." Lloyd muttered with a pout as he walked over to his bedroom door and opened it. Lloyd walked into the kitchen to find Misako asleep on the couch with the news on. Lloyd glanced at the tv as he pulled some ramen out of the fridge to cook.

Gale was on the news right now, filling them in on how no recent criminal activities had ruptured and what that would mean for them. Lloyd walked over to the couch and grabbed the remote from the floor where his mom had dropped it. He quickly shut the tv off and went back to his food. He wasn't in the mood for the news, he just wanted to relax and get to bed. His mind had been stressed all evening and he knew he needed a good night's sleep.

When the ramen was done Lloyd quickly ate, wasting no time to go to sleep. Before he went to his room he walked over to his mom and draped a blanket over her. It was quite cool, and he thought she might get cold. Lloyd headed to the bathroom to take a quick shower and get ready for bed. Then he pulled on his pjs and dived under the warmth of his sheets. Lloyd fell asleep in an instant.

The next morning Lloyd got up around ten which gave him exactly an hour and a half to get ready. He wanted to get there a bit early so that he could save their spots at the restaurant. Lloyd quickly got changed and found pancakes on the counter.

"Thanks mom!" Lloyd yelled out as he grabbed two pancakes and quickly stuffed them down his throat. Not literally of course.

The hour and a half came sooner than Lloyd expected and in five minutes he was out the door. He trailed along the sidewalk until he reached his destination. Lloyd walked inside the restaurant to find it quite full.

"How many?" The waitress asked as he walked to the counter.

"Six." Lloyd answered with a smile.

"One second please." The lady stated as she turned around and walked away.

Lloyd sighed and chuckled as he looked around. He was really glad he came thirty minutes early.

The lady came back after a minute and smiled, "Lucky for you we have an opening. Name?" The lady asked.

Lloyd stood up straight and turned back to her, "Lloyd." He replied.

The lady nodded and led him to the back of the place. "Here you are. Would you like to order a drink while you wait for your companions? or would you like to wait?" She asked quickly.

"I'll wait. Thank you." Lloyd answered with a smile.

The lady smiled in return and walked away.

Lloyd decided to let the others know he was at the restaurant, so they knew to come look for him.

"Wassup ya'll? I have our spot in the restaurant so just come and find me when you guys arrive. :)" Lloyd texted into their group chat. Lloyd flipped his phone and started playing some games to pass the time.

This was a kind of normal chapter so nothing big really happened here. I'll do my best to post the next chapter tomorrow or something. I don't really know though. Anyways enjoy your day/night!
