Kai

Once the fire had been put out Kai collapsed. He had used up so much of his energy into controlling and putting out the flames that he had little strength left. Kai was sitting on the ground in the woods leaning against a tree that hadn't been scorched. He noticed Earth walk over to him.

"Hey you good?" Earth asked hesitantly.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Kai answered with a nod. He leaned back and closed his eyes. His whole body ached.

"You sure man? You look really drained." Earth added.

Kay nodded again, but kept his eyes closed.

Earth sat down next to Kai and pulled out a flask of water, "Here." Earth stated.

Kai glanced at the water bottle and eyed Earth. "What about you?" Kai asked.

Earth chuckled, "I'll be fine. Plus, you need it more than I do." Earth answered as he handed Kai the bottle.

Kai nodded gratefully and opened the cap. He let the water run down his throat, it was cold and refreshing. Kai drank the last of the water and then handed it back to Earth.

"Thanks." Kai said as he leaned back again.

Earth nodded and stood up, "See you later I guess." Earth stated as he turned around and left.

Kai sighed and stood up. It was pretty late, and he probably should be getting home. He started a light jog toward home in order to conserve his energy.

Once Kai crawled through his window he immediately passed out on his bed.

Kai woke up to hear an alarm. At first, he thought it was his clock but then he realized it was his mic. Kai jumped out of bed to grab it from the floor, wincing as he did it. He quickly turned it on so he could hear the message.

"All ninja, meet me at ********. This is highly important. If you didn't think my last message was bad...then you need to hear this. I repeat, get your asses over here... the citizens of Ninjago are in danger." Lightening stated into the mic.

Kai paled and was about to grab his gi when he realized he was still wearing it. He grabbed his mic and jumped out his window. Running as fast as he could, Kai hopped over any obstacles. If this was as bad as Kai thought...they were in huge trouble.

Kai burst into the clearing to find all the others in deep conversation. "Sorry I'm late." Kai said as he walked over to join them. His legs burned, but he did his best to not show it.

Earth glanced over at him and frowned. "Sit down." Earth ordered as he looked at Kai.

Kai was taken back, "Excuse me?" Kai asked. He glared at Earth in annoyance.

"You shouldn't be running around right now." Earth added.

Kai fumed, "Who are you to tell me what to do?" Kai yelled.

Earth walked over to Kai and grabbed his arm. "You and I both know that your standing around and running won't do any good. Now please, just sit down and rest." Earth stated.

Kai was about to reject his request, but one look into Earth's eyes made him change his mind. His eyes were full of worry and concern...Kai recognized those eyes. They made his heart warm for some reason.

"Fine." Kai huffed as he walked over to a rock and sat down on it.

The other ninja watched the two in silence. Then Lightening spoke up.
