We're gonna do another Kai chapter to keep the events up to date. ;)

Kai

Kai had gotten home around two. He had planned on sneaking into his room, but this time he wasn't so lucky. Mrs. Shina had been waiting for him.

"Where have you been?" She yelled at Kai.

Kai winced as she slammed her hand on the table.

"I was just hanging out with some friends." Kai answered while cautiously edging towards his room.

"Hah, likely excuse. Like anyone would want to be friends with you. Where were you?" Shina demanded.

"I swear I was with my friends." Kai stated as he started backing into his room.

"Lies!" Mrs. Shina shouted. She stood up and grabbed Kai's arm. Kai winced as she squeezed and twisted it. Kai stared as his stomach growled. Mrs. Shina glared at him.

"You want food? Well, you ain't getting any for nine days. Now go to your room and starve, you rat. You better not come out." She muttered between her teeth.

Kai fought back tears as she slammed him into the wall and shoved him into his room.

"And don't even think of sneaking out." Mrs. Shina added as she slammed the door shut and locked it.

Kai backed up and sat down on his bed. He was shaking all over. Kai chuckled through his mess of emotions. He felt a tear roll down his face and he quickly wiped it away. "Oh, stop it Kai, you're such a big baby. You can't handle a little hunger?" He asked himself. He laughed and stood up, walking over to his closet where he stored his weapons, he pulled out one of his knifes.

Kai looked at his arm and sighed. "Every time you cry you get a cut...DON'T cry!" Kai yelled at himself. He put the knife to his wrist and slit the skin open. Blood oozed out and rolled down his arm, dripping onto the floor. Kai squinted his eyes shut and shook as the pain began to hit him. He gasped and tossed the knife back into the closet while his arm shook violently.

Kai quickly grabbed one of his shirts and tore it into strips to use as a bandage.

Kai scowled while he wrapped his arm up. "Oh, common shithead, a little cut hurt you? You can do better than that." Kai growled. He looked at his wrist as he finished tying the cloth to it. Blood was staining through the shirt, but it seemed to be slowing down.

Kai was still flexing due to the cut, but he relaxed and tried to take a deep breath. The cut stung insanely, but it wasn't unbearable. Kai looked down and sighed. He knew he deserved it... all the pain and abuse. He was just a burden to people, that was just the truth.

Kai laid back and closed his eyes. Maybe he could just sleep. Then his stomach rumbled. "Forget that idea." Kai muttered. He was already hungry, and it wasn't even the first day of his forced fast.

Kai sat there for what must've been an hour when he heard talking outside his room. Kai got up and put his ear to the door.

"...Kai could hang out with us?" Kai heard someone ask.

"He's busy." Mrs. Shina answered.

Kai heard the door shut and he sighed. He wondered who had been asking for him. Then he heard a knock on his window, and he turned around to see Cole standing there with a grin on his face. Kai thought it was the most adorable thing ever. Kai rolled his eyes but couldn't hide a smile. He noticed Cole gesturing for him to open the window. Kai obliged.

"Need something?" Kai asked as he pushed the window up.

Cole laughed, "You wish. Common let's get you out of here." Cole answered.
