...I forgot to post yesterday, didn't I?...
Nya
Nya looked at Jay in shock.
"Nice joke." Nya stated as a light laugh escaped from her mouth.
Jay's face kept its serious quality and Nya ceased her laugh.
"You...you're joking right?" Nya asked.
Jay looked away without saying anything.
"Right?" Nya whispered.
Jay finally turned back to her and shook his head.
Nya's face morphed into an unreadable expression. At first, she felt shock, then anger, then disbelief, then fear, then worry, then sadness, and then disappointment.
Nya put her hands to her temples and then quickly removed them as she tried to comprehend what Jay was saying.
"I- I don't believe you!" Nya shouted at Jay.
Jay only looked at her sadly as if he had predicted as much of a reaction as she gave him.
"It's not true!" Nya shouted again.
"Nya-" Jay began.
"No! You're lying!" Nya yelled at him.
Jay began to reach out to her, but Nya slapped his hand away. "I don't believe you!" Nya said again as she marched out of the tent. Anger clouded her reason as she angrily sped away from the tent that Jay was in
"How could Jay think something like that? It's ridiculous!" Nya thought to herself. She rubbed her eyes to try and stop the water from flowing down her face.
Nya sighed as she sat down on her cot. She felt exhausted all of a sudden...almost like she had been hit by a bus, but of course without the injuries.
Nya closed her eyes and let slumber overtake her.
* * * * *
Nya woke up sometime around two in the morning due to her mental state. Nya's brain had been replaying Jay's words over and over again. Each time she reheard it she grew more and more numb to it.
Nya's mind flashed back again...
"Listen Nya, Kai..." Jay began slowly. He seemed to be pondering on how he was going to say whatever what he wanted to say.
"Yeah? What about him?" Nya asked.
"..." Jay shut his mouth and looked away.
"Common Jay. Tell me." Nya insisted.
Jay sighed.
"Kai..." Jay began again, then he changed his approach. "Have you noticed anything off about Kai recently?" Jay asked.
Nya tilted her head and thought for a minute. "Well...I did notice that he's more open and talkative, but that's a good thing, so other than that I don't really notice anything..." Nya replied.
Jay frowned. "How am I supposed to say this?" Jay asked aloud.
"Just say it?" Nya answered with a n annoyed expression.
Jay took a deep breath. "Kai...is missing." Jay began.
Nya froze for a moment. "What?! We need to go find him!" Nya exclaimed urgently.
