Alex sat next to me violently smashing the buttons on the controls. I sat next to him mimicking his movements as we played some sort of fighting game. I had no clue what it was called, and I had no clue how to actually play it. I was just hitting all the buttons I thought attacked and hoped for the best in the fight.
Alex on the other hand was a skilled gamer, his thumbs hit the punch button followed by the hit buttons than the dodge and he knew how to get a defence upgrade.
I didn't understand the game in the slightest, I think we were fighting each other, but there were two other characters on the screen as well.
The whole Main Room was filled with the grunts and yells of characters attacking each other.
Adam was sitting on the lounge behind us watching whatever this odd Japanese video game was.
I went wide eyed as who I assumed to be Alex's character made the whole screen go black as it took in the cartoon energy of the sun to make some sort of laser beam in his hand. It struck who I thought my character, and whoever the other characters were, and wiped us completely off the screen and bright bold letters declared my defeat.
I groaned at my defeat as Alex whooped and cheered as he gloated and jumped to his feet in triumph. "Ha! I win!" he exclaimed as he started dancing horribly, jumping from one piece of furniture to the other. If I could, I would've noogied him, but I couldn't reach him.
"Hey Alex," I beckoned.
He stopped his dancing. I gestured playfully for him to come closer. I pretended I went to whisper, but instead grabbed his head and locked him in it. He yelped in surprise, and I loved my upper hand at this moment since he basically treated me like a fragile baby, so he barely squirmed in my grip.
And when he did it was hardly anything. "Come on! Let me go!" Alex urged as he tried to pull out, my whole body followed him until my back twinged with a sudden pain and I was forced to release him.
Alex grumbled, "You messed up my hair," he practically had a frenzy of patting and fluffing up his hair until it was practically the same, if anything it was worse from my point of view.
"Adam, I'm offended from you," he snapped when he was done roughing up his hair, "why didn't you help me?"
Adam continued to play his little hand held game, barely looking up to Alex, "she was smart, Alex. She knew I didn't care," he replied, his whole body reacting to his video game whenever he had to turn or shoot something, almost throwing it forwards or leaning either side of himself to the point I thought he was going to lie down.
I flexed my hand, I had broken some of my bones when I had fallen, and I had only just gotten the okay to not wear any types of casts when I sleep or when I do certain activities. Now if I got the nerve to walk then I'd be back to normal... or at least as normal as I can.
Sitting in a wheel chair has done wonders for my weight, my weight's gone up by almost fifteen kilos and any muscles I had before the accident was practically non-existent.
