Cassidy POV:
I watched as all the boys asked Katie to dance with them. I could tell some were just teasing, and it seemed to be working. Katie looked all flustered.
At the rate she was going I was tempted to swipe her from the whole scene to tease her myself.
Eventually she seemed to pick one of the boys. I'll admit I was also jealous, but she seemed happy.
Liam seemed to have been one of the rejected guys, but he seemed fine with it as he stood next to me with a can of beer and a smug look on his face. "Did you actually plan to dance with Katie?" I asked.
"Nah. I knew she wouldn't go after me. She reminds me too much of my cousin," he confessed plainly. He took a big slurp of his beer and cringed, "Canned beer always tastes more like metal than beer."
"Beer already has a metallic taste anyway," I stated, "Or at least to me it does."
Liam chuckled at my statement. "You're not that far off," he agreed. He sculled the rest of his beer and placed it on the edge of the rooftop. "Care to dance?" he asked holding a hand out to me.
I smirked and folded my arms. "Give me a reason."
"Because you wanna," he joked grabbing my crossed arms and pulled me forwards. I nearly fell over.
He held me close and we started dancing. Liam amused me, more than any other guy that I've ever met. He was more interesting, he was fresh from other guys but at the same time he was exactly the same. There was nothing different about him, but everything about what he said and did was just... clichéd. But it made me smile, I liked him because of the words he used, the way he spoke.
It was something I could hardly understand.
He twirled me and we continued dancing. I rested my chin on his shoulder, which was a great ordeal to do as he was so much taller than me. He chuckled at me when I simply stood on his feet to be tall enough. "Really?" he asked as he managed to drag his feet to keep the two of us moving.
I chuckled and nodded, "This is very real."
I looked over his shoulder and saw Katie dancing with Isaac. She locked eyes with me and I gave her a wink, making her blush.
"Katie's cute," I commented.
Liam made a chuckle that vibrated in his chest, "I can see that."
I pinched him, "It's nice to see her having some fun."
"What about you?" he asked.
"What?"
"You having fun?"
Quite suddenly he dipped me and I yelped in surprise. I managed to hold onto his arms to keep from falling. "About before," he began not letting me stand up, "We had a bet about whether or not I could turn you. You said you're considering it, correct?"
I smirked and nodded. I wasn't lying, I certainly considered it. Not in general, just for him and his special little needs.
"So who won the bet then?"
"How about a draw?" I offered.
He scoffed as he dropped me a little further. I went wide eyed and latched onto his shoulders. He chuckled in my ear. "Give me some credit Cass. You're you, do you know how hard it is to change the mind of stubborn Cassidy?"
"I'm not stubborn," I countered.
"You just proved it."
"No I didn't."
