Isaac seemed to have been avoiding me too. I didn't see him for the whole week.
I still didn't know who that man was.
But I can't say I noticed his absence too much, I was practising the dance over and over again until it was fused in my mind. Until I didn't have to think and my feet knew exactly what to do without question or fail.
"Be careful you don't hurt yourself," Alex had warned me, the last thing he wanted me to do was roll my ankle and have golf balls as ankles.
Cassidy was with me today, she was past the stage of obsessive ice-cream eating and seemed fine now. She was my DJ in the Main Room, restarting or going back when I had to repeat anything. "The day is tomorrow, you nervous?" Cassidy asked as she watched my dancing.
The performance itself was tomorrow, and I had just come out of an all-day rehearsal for it, but I was growing so nervous. I nodded, "yeah, I'm excited. I haven't performed in ages," I replied, I wasn't putting all my heart into the movements at the moment. I didn't want to break anything in the room.
"Didn't you have rehearsal earlier today though?" Cassidy asked.
I nodded as I continued, "there is another one at 5:30 in the morning tomorrow for the 11:00 show and the 6:00 show," I informed, "I'm going to need a long nap after them both."
Cassidy and I both chuckled and I stopped, "are you okay now?" I asked. Cassidy seemed confused as she turned the CD player off and stood up.
"What? Yeah, I am, why?" she asked.
"Are you okay with Liam?" I asked fiddling with my thumbs.
Cassidy shrugged like she didn't notice, "umm... yeah, I'm fine."
"Do you like him or something? Is that why you were annoyed?"
She shook her head, "nah. I love the attention he gives me, I'm such a show off," she giggled giving me cheeky look.
I perked up, even though she was being very blunt with her response, "well good," I got ready to run, "because you're sitting next to him in the performance."
Cassidy went wide eyed as she launched herself at me.
I ran out of the Main Room and we were both running up the stairs until I got to my apartment, where I closed the door on her before she could strangle me. I leaned against my locked door, half expecting Cassidy to break it down, "I hope you don't mind," I said through the door as I felt her slam her body against the door.
"I'll just switch with someone else," Cassidy called through the door.
I shook my head and smirked, "I talked to everyone, they won't be switching with you," I informed as she grunted loudly and kicked the door.
"Fine, I'm not going," she snapped.
"Come on, Cassidy. I don't like seeing you like this, either you get over whatever it is with Liam or you at least pretend to," I informed.
There was a long moment of silence, and I thought I wasn't talking to anyone. I opened the door and was greeted by Cassidy playfully choke holding me. "Watch it, you little Munchkin, you're cutting very close to the line," she playfully snapped as Cassidy messed up my hair.
I fell over and Cassidy came with me. Cassidy was lying on top of me, she seemed to blush almost as red as me, then that signature angelic smile came to view, "this is kinda hot," she said. We both started laughing for a moment, but the awkwardness still lingered in the air for me. Both of our laughs slowly died down, yet neither one of us made a move to get out of our tangle.
