Cassidy POV;
I quickly leafed through several of the fabrics in the back, my main reason being here was to pick up a couple of stitching threads for a client. She wanted a very specific type of gold, and when a costumer knows what the hell 'Goddess Glowing Gold' is, you know they'll know what a knock off gold looks like on a dress or a suit.
I held onto my thread when I had managed to find it, stupid Marcus had put all the remotely same golds in the same draw. I held two in my hands and pocketed them both, imagining I would find out what it was later.
"Alright Katie," I called as I closed the drawer and went to the front counter, "let's be off to the... zoo...?" I could feel a laugh coming on when I saw her.
Marcus must've made her stand on one of the platforms. I had done this a few times already, but Marcus had somehow made her get changed into another dress in the store and was using her as a living manikin.
Katie was dressed in one of our more bizarre clothing. The colours were mainly around yellow, red and black. It was a yellow chest section, and the skirt was red and black stripes. But here's the bizarre thing, every colour had sparkles laced over it and the head piece that went with it was a bulbous yellow hat with the similar coloured flowers littering the top of it.
Marcus and I both agreed it was a rather ugly thing, and the person who made us make it took one look at it and regretted his design almost immediately, we've been trying to get rid of it for the past few weeks, but everybody else agrees it's not a very appealing dress.
My smothered chuckles seemed to overpower my attempts to watch as Katie looked over to me. I could tell she hated the dress by the blushes over her cheeks. She attempted to walk down, but Marcus pinned her, "stop moving!" he demanded pulling her back by the waist.
She yelped like a little puppy and obediently stayed where she was.
"Why are you on the platform?" I asked, I couldn't contain my laughter as I hopped the counter and walked over to her.
"Marcus forced me in a dressing room and made me put this on," she snapped as she pulled at the skirt. Marcus slapped her.
"Stop squirming and you can get out of it quickly," Marcus informed plainly, "you at least make this dress work."
He wasn't wrong.
If she had to Katie could actually pull off the odd dress.
"Well give her back, Marcus, she's mine for the day," I informed standing next to him, "and I refuse to be seen at the movies with a sparkly beach ball."
"Let me take a photo at least," Marcus snapped.
Katie went wide eyed, "Why do you need a photo?"
"To sell this piece of trash," he informed. Marcus always had quick hands, and just as quickly, he pulled out a camera and snapped a photo of Katie before she could really object. I looked at the result of it, it looked like a very awkward picture, but I made sure he didn't delete it.
