Adam POV:
I sat at the picnic table, when no one was looking I was snacking at some of the food that had already been set. Katie looked really happy seeing her brothers, she was still hugging them and laughing in disbelief.

Dad said it had taken a lot longer than he thought to actually find them. Turns out one of the brothers is married, and took his wife's name as opposed to his wife taking his name, while the other one had changed his last name altogether. When he had managed to find them it turned out neither wanted anything to do with their father.

And I couldn't blame him.

From what Dad basically lectured me about, the guy sounded like a real jerk.

He gave me like a half hour talking to about it, just trying to explain it to me. I didn't really want to listen to all of it, but I knew I should listen or at least sit there and listen.

It was like he thought I'd become like him, but Katie's Dad seemed to scare Katie... I didn't want to scare Katie.

I looked around, where was Dad?

Andy and Dad had literally spent so much time trying to find her brothers and they had each wanted to try and find her brothers so they could see how happy she was. She looked pretty happy. She looked really pretty too.

Cassidy had tailored my outfit too.

I looked smooth.

... According to Cassidy.

I continued to take little bits of the food while everybody was occupied and accidently had a mouthful that I couldn't actually chew without spitting some out. Ever done that?

I managed to continued chewing some without very little choking.

"Hey Adam!" someone called.

I quickly chewed what I had and managed to swallow it, but I started coughing again as I turned to my Dad, "Where'd you go?" I asked as I got rid of any food stuck in my teeth. Trying to eat the evidence was a new one for me.

"I just went to go get a friend of yours," he informed. I didn't realise it at first, but someone was hiding behind him.

I hopped off the picnic table and attempted to look behind Dad, but before I could someone had jumped out and yelled, "Boo!"

I jumped back slightly but laughed, "Penny!"

I quickly hugged her and she giggled as she hugged me back. "You came!" I exclaimed excitedly.

"I was invited!" she exclaimed with the same amount of over exaggerated excitement.

We quickly hugged again and I practically picked her up and twirled as we laughed. When I put her down I remembered she was a cancer patient and I freaked out thinking she was fragile or something after I had basically thrown her around. She laughed at my concern and told me it was fine though.

She was wearing an odd scarf on her head that dripped over her shoulders, it seemed to frame her floral dress she wore. She looked pretty as well.

"I'm glad you could come then," I said smiling.

Katie POV:
Dinner was quick to come around. My brothers were telling my friends every and all funny or embarrassing story they could remember or think of. I was a blushing mess in a blue dress.

They didn't leave any story unturned.

They told of the time I accidently put one of the hottest white spices in someone's tea... and cupcakes... and... a wedding cake. They were all accidental though, I promise.
