Katie POV:
I was sitting on the ground of my room, my back leaning against the bed frame as I looked to the ceiling, I had just finished my exams and had nothing more to do with schooling life anymore. Adam and I were done with school for the year, or in my case, the rest of my life unless I go to university. I'd need to get Alex's opinion on that since he was in his second or third year or so.
My birthday had already been, and that little fact had somehow managed to run through the whole building and reach the ears of everybody. The idea of the party had also reached everyone, and to save time they decided when New Year came along, then we would celebrate for two things; my 18th and New Year. And despite my objections they refused to let me ignore acknowledging my birthday this year... but honestly I just wanted the whole year to be erased from my memory, there were interesting moments like the dance performances going to school, kissing Alex and Isaac...
But everything else is just too much.
I just wanted everything to disappear from me.
But at least it was all over, the end of the year was coming up, New Year, another birthday, and I can hopefully move on with my life... whatever that may be.
But tomorrow, there was going to be a party for my birthday and for the New Year, I just hoped that everybody would have fun I guess. Someone suddenly knocked on the door, making me jump in my train of thought.
Without my consent, the door opened and Cassidy smirked as she looked to me. "Hey, Katie," her eyes brows gave me a small dance before she just walked in. "You know how you said you didn't want us to get you any presents for your birthday?"
I nodded, "and I don't intend on accepting whatever you got me," I informed as I laid on my bed.
She laughed liked I had told some hilarious joke. "How sweet, you think you have a choice in that matter," she giggled as she kneeled next to my bed and rested her chin before my head.
"I don't want your gift, Cassidy."
"What? You've already found something to wear for tomorrow?" she asked.
I narrowed my eyes, "no..."
She seemed to go bug eyed, "you weren't just going to go in a pair of jeans surely!" She exclaimed this fact like it was against the law, like she was trying to gain the attention of someone who would scold me for it.
I raised an eye brow, "what's wrong with that? It's too cold to go swimming so I'm not going in swimmers for a party," I informed.
Cassidy chuckled, "we're making it a formal occasion," she informed.
I raised an eye brow, Andy held a party once for the full moon and it was the most formal one ever and that one involved canned beer. "Canned beer isn't formal."
