I was beckoned into the Main Room by practically everybody. I felt all self-conscious. I felt shy and embarrassed to be wearing this after such a long time. But Cassidy claims she custom fitted it for me, made it so I wouldn't look so ridiculous.

I pushed opened the door, rubbing my arms because I wasn't use to the short sleeves. The school uniform was a red, green and gold checkered skirt that was a few inches from my knees, with a yellowy cream coloured short sleeve blouse and a red tie that choked me the same colour. My hair was messily left out, mainly because I was struggling most of the morning to get into the skirt, which was really tight around my hips!

Cassidy laughed at me, describing me as a school penguin.

Andy found something about me that wasn't neat, "it's like no one owns you," he informed straightening my crooked skirt and pressing the wrinkles on my blouse.

Booker was sitting at the counter drinking some coffee; a mischievous look was mirrored through those thin lenses of his. "I really hate you right now," I snorted folding my arms.

Cassidy chuckled as she grabbed at my choker and loosened it to a point where Andy stared at it in annoyance. "If you going back to the hell of High School, you may as well not look like a Teacher's Pet on your first day again," Cassidy amused as she tapped my nose.

She slapped Andy's hand when he tried to straighten something up. "Leave it be, Andy," she snapped.

I walked over to the fridge and got some milk out, from the cupboard I got some sugar and stared at the empty coffee pot with distain. I stared at my ingredients and went with sweet milk. I poured the milk and dumped the sugar into it before mixing it. Everybody else gagged.

I was too tired to object as I sipped my drink, it was sickeningly sweet, but woke me up like someone shoved ice cubes up my nose. I blinked several times as I turned around, "this stuff is awful," I informed raising my cup, despite my statement I slurped some more and made a face, only to sip it.

"Then stop drinking it," Booker said before drinking is own coffee.

I glared at him, "no." And I slurped it until it was gone.

I did a dance that could only be described as an octopus on land, but was really a chorus of shivers. "Sure, drink it all, that'll show me," Booker replied putting his cup down. As retaliation, I sipped his coffee, it was really strong.

I groaned as I shimmied in my shoes, "why do I have to go to school anyway? I'm 17; I already have a job and stuff! School will just get in the way of that," I informed.

"In order to make sure your Social Worker doesn't keep biting my ass than you need to be enrolled in your final year of school," he explained staring at his coffee cup like there was some sort of disease in it, "I enrolled you as soon as I could. The sooner you start, the sooner you'll finish, so don't complain. You'll be with Adam in his school."

School was really going to affect my job, "what about my job then?" I asked.

"You'll have to change it to part time, sweetie," Cassidy informed sitting next to Booker, "but it wouldn't be a good idea if you told them you're 17. If it's as small as you say it is I don't think they can afford under aged employees."

I sighed as I hung my head, "this is all such a mess..." I grumbled holding my head.

Andy was fiddling with an imaginary speck of dust on the counter, "it could be much worse," he informed as he disappeared up the stairs.

"Anthony Merando everybody, his words of wisdom are truly comforting," Cassidy announced with sarcasm. She pulled my hair back and tied it into two pigtails, when she was happy she pat my head delicately, "gotta go to my own work, honey, but I'll see you later. Okay?"
