A couple of days later, we were met by Andrea. I hadn't seen her since the farm, and I was surprised that she was actually still alive. I hadn't heard about her, but the others didn't seem to be as shocked to know she knew about the Govenor. Andrea tried to explain herself, but for some reason, she still believed the Govenor was a good person. Obviously we threatened the Govenor, but she seemed to still want to understand him.

Carol and Andrea walked off into the prison, as I stayed outside to help try and secure the prison more. Since we only had one fence, we had been working harder to try and secure the prison some more. One fence wasn't going to cut it when mass amounts of walkers showed up, so we tried our hardest to fix everything up. Matter of fact, we were going to try and rebuild the fences as soon as possible. When Andrea had finally decided to leave, I wasn't too happy that Rick had given her a weapon and a car.

"Carl and I are going to take Michonne with us on a run. We'll see how well she works out with us." Rick said, and I nodded.

"I've got everything over here. You two be careful. Leave her behind if she runs off again." I replied, hugging Rick.

"We'll be careful. If anything happens here while we're gone, you get everyone to safety." He answered, kissing my cheek.

I watched as Rick and Carl left with Michonne, before I walked back inside of the prison.

"Andrea is going to set up a meeting between us and the Govenor. I don't know how it'll go, or when, but I'm hoping the meeting will make everything easier on us." Carol said, as I helped her make lunch for the group.

"Why doesn't she just kill the Govenor herself?" I asked, causing Carol to sigh.

"I think she's in love with him. She's blinded by his charm, like I had been when I had first started a relationship with my ex husband, Ed." She replied, and I nodded.

"Did she give you any hint as to what the Govenor wants from us?" I asked, causing the woman to shake her head.

"According to her, he wants revenge. He claims we attacked him, so he wants to take us down, get the prison, and he seemed to have a personal vendetta against Michonne, but she wasn't too sure about any of his motives." Carol answered, and I frowned.

If the Govenor wanted the prison and wanted us all dead, that meant he didn't care at all about any children living in the prison. I wondered if he even cared about the children living in his own town. I figured he didn't, since he seemed to willing be fine with killing all of the children in the prison. If I didn't hate him before, I really hated him now. Nobody put my children in danger and lived; not one damn person on this earth.

A few hours later, I had given Harry and Judith a nap and a nice bath before Rick and Carl came back. I was surprised to see they still had Michonne, but I was happy to see that they had brought new baby stuff for Judith. Carl and Beth put Judith's baby stuff together in my cell, as Rick led me outside to talk.

"So, how did the test go with Michonne?" I asked, as I lent back against the wall.

"She's a good asset to the group. She worked hard, and she knows how to work as a team. I know she was a problem at Woodbury, but she's proven herself. Carl thinks she's a good asset as well, if you want to believe him more than me." Rick replied, and I nodded slightly.

I looked over at Rick for a moment, and I could tell something was bothering him. I wasn't sure what, but I could tell something was on his mind. I could also see what seemed to be a bandage on his shoulder.

"Whst happened out there?" I asked, causing him to sigh.

"A man I met when the world first ended, he was still there. He changed, and I can't help but blame myself. His son died, and he's alone. He practically turned the entire city into one big walker trap, and he's kept himself alive for a while. When we first arrived, we had to knock him out. He barely recognized me, so he did stab me, but he's better now. I just don't think he'll ever be the same after everything that's happened to him." He replied, and I nodded.

"Did you try to bring him back with you?" I asked, causing Rick to nod as well.

"Yeah, I did, but he refused. He wanted to stay where he was, and he believed he's better off there. I tried though, I really did." He replied, making me sigh quietly.

"You tried your best, that's all that matters, Rick." I murmured, hugging him tightly.

Once we were done talking, the two of us headed back into the prison. The sky was starting to get dark, so soon it was going to be nightfall. I knew the kids were going to be tired soon, so I had to get them ready for dinner and bed. Carol was making dinner by the time we came back into the prison, and Maggie was in there helping her.

Ever since Rick had come back, the group had decided to give Rick and I more time alone to talk and be together. I knew he needed time to readjust to everything, but he seemed to be getting better as the days went on. I almost couldn't tell that he had ever really been different, and I was actually a little happy with that. As soon as he was back to normal, everything would run smoothly again, and I was ready for the change back. If only the world seemed to get the memo that we needed at least a little smoothness...
