Song of the Chapter: Damaged by Blood on the Dance Floor

The next couple days I tried to stay to myself, trying not to bother Lori, Shane or anyone else for that matter. Harry and I either stayed in my room or stayed on the porch. We didn't talk to anyone and we didn't interact with anyone. This was one of the only ways I could make sure that what Lori was saying wasn't true. Though Glenn had cornered me yesterday and said that Rick thought I was ignoring him and it was putting him on edge, which I mean, I was ignoring him but I was also ignoring everyone else. It was hard to ignore him the other day when he came back from the run with Shane when he was supposed to drop off Randall. They ended up not dropping Randall off and Rick was beat to hell, as was Shane. They had pretty much healed by now though, so they didn't really get damaged too bad.

Anyhow, after getting dressed for the day, I held Harry's hand and walked him down to the porch with me. He stayed by my side, like he had for many other days. We tried to stay to ourself, doing different chores and other things to keep to ourself. Since everyone was moved into the house, we tried to stay in our room alone. That didn't last long though because I ended up offering my room for some people to sleep in. Lori hated my guts, so she took Herschel's bed, not going unnoticed by Rick when Shane followed behind her to bring her stuff into the room.

Carl ended up being the other person to stay in my room, that way he wouldn't have to deal with his mother's crap. Anyhow, Carl was the exception when it came to being alone. He was able to interact with us and we didn't ignore him or avoid him. We didn't want to exclude him from our lives like it seemed Lori was doing to him. He told me last night, how he felt she didn't love him anymore and was only worried about the baby. I wasn't sure how to console him, since it seemed like he was right, but I lied to him to keep him from crying.

Anyhow, by late evening, Rick had decided to take Daryl and finally throw Randall to the wolves. Well, when T-Dog went to get Randall, Rndall was missing. Shane came out of the woods with a busted nose and that's when all hell broke loose. Everyone was told to go in the house, Rick telling Lori to actually watch her son, before he, Shane, Glenn and Daryl went off into the woods in search of Randall.

After about an hour, we heard a gun shot. I had guessed they found Randall, until Daryl and Glenn came back, saying they had found walker Randall, who wasn't bitten and only had his neck snapped. I was confused and scared after being told that, which made me wonder how that could possibly be true.

"Can you go out and look for Rick and Shane?" Lori asked, before Daryl nodded.

He went to jump over the side of the porch, before he looked out at the field and seen a huge herd of walkers.

"Get in the house and shut off all the lights." Herschel stated, before everyone ran inside and began to close up the house.

"Can we stay inside until it passes?" Patricia asked, as everyone was shutting out lights.

"A herd that size will tear down the whole house." Daryl answered, as we began to get weapons.

"We'll have to fight our way out." T-Dog said, as everyone grabbed guns.

"No, it's my farm. I'll die here." Herschel retorted, as he cocked his gun.

"Good a night as any." Daryl commented, as he also cocked his gun.

"Get the kids. We've got to go to the vehicles." Carol said, causing me to quickly look over at the couch.

"Where's Harry? I thought him and Carl were playing in here." I said, as my heart began to race.

"He's upstairs with Carl. He didn't want to be down here when everyone was talking about Randall." Maggie answered, before Lori ran down stairs.

"I can't find Carl!" She exclaimed, making my heart skip a beat again.

"Did you see Harry? He was with Carl." I asked frantically, as she shook her head.

"No, I told them I'd be in there in a minute, I-I never went in there." She stuttered, causing me to glare.

"If I don't find my son, if he's hurt, lost, or dead, it'll be on you. I will kill you if he's gone." I spat, causing her to nod with tears in her eyes.

"Let's go!" Carol yelled, before we all ran out of the house.

Everyone began to fight off walkers, trying to make a dent in the herd. After almost thirty minutes, we realized we were wasting ammo that we definitely needed. As a walker was about to sneak up from behind me, Maggie drove up and Glenn shot it.

"Get in! Get in! Hurry!" Glenn and Maggie shouted, as I threw myself into the backseat.

"Are you okay?" Maggie asked, causing me to nod.

"Yeah, you guys?" I replied, as they nodded.

"Yeah." Glenn answered, before we went back to trying to get away.

We drove down the road for a moment, before Maggie began to freak out. I tried to keep myself out of it, especially when Glenn finally said he loved her. They switched seats, before we were back on the road again.

"Did either of you see Harry?" I asked, my voice cracking slightly.

"No, but I'm sure he's with someone." Maggie replied, causing me to look away.

"We're going back to the highway where we lost Sophia. Everyone else should be meeting there too, one of them may have Harry with them." Glenn said, as I felt tears come to my eyes.

"Will. One of them will have Harry with them." Maggie stated, as she placed her hand over my bloody ones.

I couldn't help but feel the doubt and despair course through me. I couldn't believe anything until I seen it. Otherwise, all we had left was each other...
