Heartstopper oneshots/ requests

A crying Charlie comes to Nick's house at 1am P2

"I'm sor-"
"No, don't say it" Nick cut him off, "I'm sorry I didn't wake up, mum said you rang the bell"
Charlie laughed at Nick's response to his attempt at an apology, "Yeah, everyone was asleep at home, everything was just getting so loud- I couldn't sleep and I-"
"Thought you'd come, wake us up and wear my hoodie" Nick joked endearingly
"Yeah" Charlie smiled, "Because I'm selfish like that" Charlie joked back .

Charlie got up from Nick's chest.

"Mum said it's Harry" Nick sounded serious again and he looked at Charlie carefully, looking at his face for any sign of what he was thinking.
"Yeah" Charlie breathed out, looking down at his lap.

He was now sat crossed legged, facing Nick who was still in the same position he was when he slumped himself down a few minutes ago.

Charlie proceeded to tell Nick everything; about the Instagram comments and how it'd progressed to what had happened in the corridor.

"He said I shouldn't see you anymore" Charlie told Nick, picking at his fingers in his lap, "He said he doesn't want me to turn you gay"
Nick scoffed which immediately made Charlie look up.

"Well, it's not like I'm straight, but I think I was already like this" Nick was looking straight ahead, not wanting to look at Charlie while he said this, "It wasn't you that made me like this" He added matter-of-factly which made Charlie's heart skip a beat.

"Fucking hell" Nick blurted out, sitting forward and running his hand through his hair. He was partly in disbelief at himself that he'd basically just come out to Charlie and also just realising how bad the situation was.

"I'm gonna speak to him" He said firmly, still not looking at Charlie, "He can't just- augh!' Nick put his head in his hands, "Why are all my mates areholes?!"

Charlie didn't say anything because he felt like this was all his fault. If it wasn't for him Nick would still be friends with Harry and everything would be okay. He ruined everything.

"This is my fault" Charlie said, breaking the silence.
Nick still had his head in his hands but he quickly looked over at Charlie when he said that.

"What- no, this isn't you!" Nick protested, "I'm so sorry" He felt bad for letting his temper show so much and make Charlie feel like he was the problem.

Nick threw his arms around Charlie suddenly which made Charlie flinch and Nick move quickly away.

"Charlie" Nick's voice was small and there was a lump in his throat, had Charlie really just flinched away from him?

Nick's eyes filled with tears , he felt awful. The last thing he wanted to do was scare the person he cared about the most.

"Did he do this to you?" Nick's voice was full of anger and hurt, "I'll fucking kill him!" He got up and started pacing around the room, "God, why am I so stupid, I should have known"
"It's fine-"
"No it's not!"
"This is why I didn't want to tell you" Charlie said quietly, more to himself but Nick heard and stopped pacing.

"Augh" Nick huffed, angry at himself which scared Charlie a bit. He hated seeing Nick like this.

"I'm sorry, Char I just-" Nick sat back on the sofa and crossed his arms
"Char?" Charlie interrupted him, smirking
"I don't know, it just came out" Nick said quickly, "Come here" He said in defeat and Charlie moved to be under Nick's outstretched arm again, but he kept his arms at his side this time.

"Sorry for getting so mad" Nick mumbled, "But I am gonna speak to him"
Charlie didn't say anything.
"I'm glad you came to us" Nick added, turning to look down at Charlie who was curled up at his side, "I'm glad you didn't do what Harry said" Nick reiterated and Charlie smiled, but still didn't say anything.

He was too busy taking in where he was and what had happened.

He was sat in Nick's living room, cuddled up to him in the middle of the night. After he'd come to his front door, crying.

"Are you asleep?" Nick moved to look down at Charlie properly
"No!" Charlie laughed, "Sorry I was just" He trailed off which made Nick laugh
"Do you wanna go to bed?"
"Yeah" Charlie replied, still in thought about what had happened this evening and how lucky he was to have found a family like Nick's.

Once they were in Nick's room, Nick handed him a fresh set of his own pyjamas, "They might be a bit big, but they'll keep you warm" He smiled
"Augh - really?" Charlie joked, referring to the Hulk and Iron Man themed pyjamas Nick had given him.
Nick just shrugged, "I'm a big Marvel fan, what can I say" He replied and laughed.

Nick slipped out to the bathroom and Charlie got changed into the pyajamas which were too big for him, but he got into Nick's bed quickly and got comfy.

Nick came back shortly after and smiled lovingly at the scene in front of him.

"Do you wanna cuddle?" Nick asked shyly, once he was in bed too, "I mean-"
But he got cut off by Charlie's arm snaking around his waist and he laughed.
"I take that as a yes" He smiled and rested his head on top of Charlie's, "Sleep well, you're safe"

A/N: So, I've given in and brought the other three volumes of heartstopper.. I was interested in the fact that in volume 1, Charlie is written as a 'popular' character who does get on with everyone which is different to the TV series. Be interesting to read more about their story and I'm hoping the dreaded Paris trip is covered in the graphic novels 😅

Also, have you listened to the Heartstopper soundtrack? It's available on YouTube if you don't have Spotify or Apple Music. It's v good, quite nostalgic for some reason :) I think I'm officially obsessed???? 😅
