We step into the recording studio and see the room full of people standing around. We see a guy in a podium directing all the people around. We walk over to him.

"Your name is Chiron?" My brother asks.

"It's Charon mate," he says. Stupid dyslexia, " and I would appreciate it if you wouldn't get me mixed up with that pompous four legged thing. Say... have trouble reading do you? Your a godling but not a dead one, at that, pity."

"We want to go to the underworld," my brother demands.

"We'll that refreshing. Usually it's there must be a mistake or I'm not suppose to be dead. Nevertheless I must decline," Charon says.

"C'mon. Stuck in here for all eternity it not, even you must know that hades is gunning for half-bloods," I says.

"What's he gonna think we he finds out you turned us away at the door," says my brother.

"You two finish each other's thoughts a lot?" Asks Charon.

"Not important," I say.

"Anyhow I get paid two drachmas a head just like always. And a drachma doesn't go as far as it used to," say Charon.

"Let is in and he might show you some favor," Percy says.

"There may even be a raise in it for you. When's the last time you got a raise?" I ask.

"You make a valid point about the raise. Come with me," he says.

He leads us to an elevator. We go down the chute. When we get out we find ourself in front of the river styx.

"How did you die?" The guy asked.

"We er..... drowned in a bathtub," I say.

"All four of you?" He asks.

"It was a big bathtub," my brother says.

We get on the boat as it floats over the river.

"Off you go. I only take passenger one way," he says.

We get off and he floats away.

"I'd wish you luck but there isn't any down here," say Charon.

"Now what?" I ask.

"Follow the crowd I guess," says Percy.

"The field of asphodel," says Grover.

"There are so many.. what are they doing?" I ask.

"The only thing they can do: stand around forever," Grover says.

"Look! Hades home address," I say pointing to the giant dark caste.

We all looking at the looming building. I hear a noise from behind me. I turn to see Grover loosing control of the winged shoes.

"Grover stop goofing around!"says Annabeth.

"But I didn't- guys help," he yells as the shoes fly off.

"Grover!" Percy and I yell in unison. I normally hate it when we do that but this is a different circumstance.

We run after him until we find him hanging from the edge of a pit.

"The shoes have a mind of their own!" Yells grover.

I help Percy haul him up while Anabeth unties the shoes. Once they weee off his feet they went flying down into the abyss of the pit.

"What was that all about?" I ask.

"I'm pretty sure that's the entrance to Tartarus. It's reserved for the really really bad baddies. It fir when the field of punishment just isn't enough. But what would it want with Grover?" Asks Annabeth.

"Me? Don't look at me. I'm a vegetarian," says Grover.

"He's right. Maybe whatever's down there isn't after him," I say.

"I could swear I dreamed about this pit," says Percy.

"This pit?" Demands annabeth, " I'm not sure what it means but I don't want to stand here and find out."

"The quicker we get the bolt out of here the better," I say.

"Let's go find hades," says Percy.
