A Quest That Doesn't Involve Me. Yah!

Travis and I ate sitting on the beach. He had his arm around me.

"What if he's hurt or in trouble. What if he's been kidnapped. What if- what if he's dead," I say going through the scenarios of what could have happened to my brother.

Travis had had to deal with a lot of these lately. He's seen lots of tears in the past few days.

"I mean mom has been having a panic attack. How could he just leave?" I demand.

The earth shakes a little below us. When I have strong feeling I can cause earthquakes. The stronger the feeling the worse the earthquake is.

"Hey, calm down. You know he wouldn't just leave. He loves you and Annabeth and this camp," says Travis.

"I know I'm really trying to not be mad at him but he makes it so hard. I haven't even had any dreams about him," I say feeling defeated.

"You'll hear from him soon. I just know it," he says, "we can go prank drew. You always like that."

"Maybe," I mumble with a smile.

"We can mess with her makeup," he says.

"Ooh let's do it!" I say getting up.

He lets out a laugh as we head to the Aphrodite cabin.

Travis and I get to dinner satisfied with our tampering of Drew's makeup. Let's just say her foundation is now infused with itching piercer and her eyeshadow is more permanent.

Travis and I walk over to where Annabeth is standing with the three new kids.

"No roof? What do you do when it rains in the middle of dinner?" Asks Jason.

"I doesn't," I say.

"The camp has a magical border that keeps bad weather, as well as monsters out," says Travis.

The three new kids look at him. I realize they don't really know him.

"Right, um guy this is Travis my boyfriend. Travis this is Leo, Piper, and Jason," I say.

"Nice to meet you," says Piper.

Travis leans over next to me, "I get good vibes from the Leo kid," he says.

I let out a little laugh. Their personalities are very similar.

"Attention everyone. Quiet then please," yells Chiron, "we have much to discuss. First let us welcome out three new campers: Leo Valdez, Piper McLean, and Jason..."

"Don't look at me," says Jason.

"Yes, well simply Jason will suffice until your memories return. We are happy to have you here with us," Chiron says.

"Enough chitchat. Had the second great prophecy begin or not? I mean come on. First Percy disappears," Drew says. I clench my fist at her saying it like it's no big deal. The ground rumbles slightly and a couple people look at me, "then Hera send Annabeth a vision about the Grand Canyon, and she come back with three new half-bloods in one day. It's starting isn't it."

"Rachel?" Someone asks.

"Yes. The second great prophecy has begun. For those who weren't here when I spoke the oracles words last time in August, the lines of the prophecy go: Eight half-bloods blood shall answer the call.to  Storm or fire the world must fall. An oath to keep with a final breath, and foes bear arms to doors of death," says Rachel.

None of the half-bloods should be me or Travis. I just want a normal demigod, monster slaying life.

"The eight demigods, whoever they are, have not been gathered yet. Some are here tonight but some are not," says Rachel, "what we do know is the first phrase of the prophecy has begun, and we must answer the call. Hera, the queen of the gods, has been captured."

"Di immortales," I say.

A range of whispers echo through the air.

"At the big house, Hera appeared to Jason and issued a quest. Some sort of king is rising, and Jason had to rescue Hera. To prevent a great evil. He had until the winter solstice in four days. What i don't understand is, if Jason is so important than why hasn't he been claimed?" Says Annabeth.

"He has been claimed. Long ago," says Chiron, "think, my boy and give everyone a demonstration."

Jason takes out a coin and looks at it. He throws it into the air and it turns into a spear.

"Was it a sword last time?" Asks Piper.

"I think it came up tails. Same coin, long range weapon form. You all better back up," says Jason.

He puts the spear point up in the air. The sky rumbles and a crack of lightning comes down.

"That's not possible," I hear someone mumble.

"A little overkill perhaps, but I'm afraid the meaning is clear. Jason is a child of Zeus. Lord of the sky," says Chiron.

"What about the pact? They broke it again?" Says Annabeth.

"Believe it or not the big three have no self control. Hence me and I guess Jason," I say.

"We can't talk about that now. Jason has a quest to fulfill, which means he'll need his own prophecy," says Rachel.

She lets out a cough and the green smoke comes out of her mouth.

" Child of lightning, beware the earth. The Giants revenge, the seven shall birthday. The forge and the dove shall break the cage. And death and unleashes through Hera's rage," says Rachel.

Rachel falls in the ground. Annabeth and I rush and help her up.

"Easy Rachel," I say.

"I'd this a regular thing?" Asks Piper.

"Happens all the time. We'll be fine," I say.

Annabeth and I walk over to Chiron.

"The giants revenge. It can't be," annabeth mumbles to him.

"Don't speak of it. It will only scare them, they must have courage," says Chiron.

Annabeth and I walk away and towards the three.

"Now then, Jason is obviously the lightning the prophecy speaks of. According to tradition he can bring two companions," says Chiron.

(Two bc I don't want to find another person for the quest and Phoebe is very adamant about not going in another quest yet)

Jason looks around.

"Okay, no need to beg. We both know I'm supposed to go. It's gotta be, right? The forge is the symbol of Hephaestus. Beside the smoke girl over there said you should beware the earth. I may have a way to get us some air transportation," Leo says.

"Thanks man. It does only seem right that you come," says Jason.

"That leaves the dove," says Chiron.

"Oh, absolutely. The dove is Aphrodite. Everyone knows I'm totally yours," Drew says. I'm so ready for her to use her makeup, "we can sit back while the hammerhead drives."

"No! Im suppose to go! I had a vision of Hera too!" Says Piper.

"Sure you did, dumpster girl," says Drew with a scoff, "what use could you possibly be on a quest? I have charm, what do you have?"

Piper begins to glow pink and her clothes transformed into a stunning white dress.

"How did-?" Piper asks.

"No! She can't be! She's.." Drew trails off.

"Beautiful," Jason mumbles, "Piper your a knockout."

"I- I don't understand. These are t my clothes," says a Piper.

All of the campers except Jason kneel in the ground for her.

"Hail Piper McLean. Daughter if Aphrodite. The goddess of love," says Chiron.
