The next day, the second since the battle, the Roman's and Greeks worked side by side to rebuild camp.

The Roman's insisted on building a field camp next to the strawberry fields. The Greeks even pitched in to help build dirt walls and dig trenches. I've never seen anything weirder or cooler.The Dionysus kids talked about the different drinks they were addicted to with the Bacchus kid. The Hermes and mercury kids laughed about pranks and did a little pick pocketing. Travis stole cash and jewelry off me all day, just to see how long it would take for me to go ask for it back.

By evening the general mood has improved. Also by now the whole camp had heard about Travis and me. I've gotten slightly tired of the congratulations. I know they mean well though.

Coach hedge has been showing off his new baby. The Aphrodite kids have been cooing over him. Clarisse was named his godmother and she was practically his bodyguard.

I'm sitting at the Poseidon table with my brother. Chiron steps forward for his announcements.

"Out of every tragedy," says Chiron, "comes a new strength. Today, we thank the gods for this victory. To the gods!"

We all join the toast but without any enthusiasm. I mean we saved the gods, and now we're suppose to thank them?

Then chiron says: "TO NEW FRIENDS!"

Hundred of demigods voices echo across the hill.

At the campfire everyone was singing and watching the sky, waiting for Leo to come back. He didn't.

Travis sat next to me on the left and Percy on the right.

After a few songs, Reyna and Frank were called to the front. We gave them a thunderous roar of applause.

"Tomorrow," Reyna says, "we Roman's must return home. We appreciate you hospitality since we almost killed you-"

"You almost got killed," I correct.

"Whatever Jackson," says Reyna.

The crowd lets out an oooooooooh! Reyna, Piper, Annabeth, and I had become great friends.

"Anyways," Frank says taking over, "Reyna and I agree this marks a new era of friendship for our camps."

"That's right," says Reyna, "for hundreds of years the gods have kept us separate. But there's a better kind of peace- cooperation."

Piper stands up with a devilish smile, "are you sure you mom is a war goddess?"

"Yes McLean," Reyna shots back returning her smile, "I still intend of fighting a lot of battles, but from now on, we fight together!"

That got a big cheer.

Zhang raises his haves for silence, "You'll all be welcome at camp Jupiter. We've come to an agreement with Chiron: a free exchange between camps. Visits, training programs, and of course emergency aids-"

"And parties?" Asks one of the Bacchus kids.

"Hear hear!" Yells Conner on the other side of Travis.

Reyna spreads her arms, "that goes without saying. Roman's practically invented parties."

Another big ooooooh like the one I got.

"So thank you," Reyna says, "All of you. We could have chosen war but instead we found acceptance and friendship."

Then she did the unexpected. She walks to nico and grabs his hand. He stands up and she hugs him.

"We had one him and now we have two," she says.
