I was standing by my brother on the Princess Andromeda. We had seven days until we turn sixteen. Percy will technically turn sixteen first but if he somehow dies before then the prophecy will be mine.

"You're late. We've been expecting you for days. I have taken my human form at last. The boy you once knew at Luke is now I, Kronos, lord of the titans. Come now before me, Jackson twins," Kronos says.

"Yeah that'll happen," says Percy.

The monsters swarm closer to us.

"The great prophecy foretells that a child of the big three greek gods will reach age sixteen and make a decision that will save or destroy the world. Why wait, children of Poseidon? If you dare battle me," Kronos says.

"You'll never get this boat to Manhattan!" I yell.

"Your army will die here!" Percy yells.

"Yes you speak of your clandestine plot to detonate our engines. I'm afraid you half-blood friend with the explosives failed," says Kronos.

I see one of the monsters holding beckendorf. I hear my brother mumble Charlie's name.

"Success my lord. We found him just as we were told," Ethan says.

"Did you search the engine room and defuse the bombs, Ethan Nakamura?" Asks Kronos.

"No need. He never got the chance to plant them," says Ethan dumping out Beckendorf's backpack with canned peaches in them, "I- I don't understand!"

"Fools!" Yells Kronos.

"Percy! Phoebe! Run!" Beckendorf yells.

"Seize them!" Yells Kronos.

My brother and I get to the edge and jump holding hands. When I hit the water I instantly pass out.

I wake up on a seashell bed next to my brother. I see Tyson swimming towards me.

"Phoebe?" Tyson asks to see if I'm awake.

"Hey buddy," I say sitting up.

He swims over to my brother.

"Percy!" He asks.

"Beckendorf?" Percy mumbles confused.

"No brother, it me Tyson," says Tyson to Percy.

"Tyson where are we?" Asks Percy.

"That's a good question," I say.

"Daddy's palace. We found you two last night, sinking through the water after the monster ship went boom," Tyson says.

"Beckendorf was on board! Did you find him!" Asks Percy worried.

"No sign of him. I'm sorry brother," Tyson says sadly .

I hear a loud bang like an explosion going on outside the palace.

"What was that?!" I ask.

"Come see!" Says Tyson, "Daddy is blowing up monsters."

We swim out of the palace to see Poseidon blasting at a sea monster.

"Back to the depths, foul creature!" My father yells.

My dad turns to a dolphin and then gives it some instructions before acknowledging us.

"Hello Percy. Phoebe," says our dad.

He didn't look like he usually does. He looks more weathered.

".... Dad? Where are your short and Hawaiian shirt? Why are you so..." my brother trails off.

"Old? The war has been hard on me. I am immortal but my appearance reflects the state of my realm. Right now that state is grim. The battle against Oceanus goes... poorly," dad says.

"Oceanus? The Titan of the sea?" I ask.

"Indeed. He was neutral in the first war of the gods and titans. But Kronos has convinced him to fight. It is not a good sign. He would not commit unless he was certain he could pick the winning side. Even with the mighty Briares fighting for us, he is one against many. Percy Phoebe, your mission against the princess Andromeda was a success, despite the loss of your friend. Kronos's army will be in disarray many were destroyed," says dad.

"Dad no!" Says Percy.

"I'm going to stay and help. You won't hold out here much longer," I say.

"They can fight with a sword. They are good," says Tyson.

"I know that but you fight is in the world above. You have a very important decision to make. If nothing else you must warn your friends at camp. Kronos had a spy in their midst. That is how he knew of your mission against him. Take this sand dollar as a gift. You will know when to spend it," says dad setting a sand dollar in my palm.

"But-" my brother protests.

"Oceanus approaches.  I must meet him in battle. Go and good luck," says dad as he shoots a blue spark out of his trident.

A spiral of blue light swarms me and my brother.

"Dad!" I yell.

"Don't send us away!" Yells Percy.

The spiral throws me and my brother up to the top of the sea.

"Goodbye dad," I mumble.

Percy and I swim back to camp and are met with campers guarding the beach. We walk up feeling defeated.

"You guys made it!" Says one the campers, "wait.... Where's Beckendorf?"

I turn away and my brother lets a tear roll down his face.

"Oh, no..." the camper says, "poor Silena."
