We walk into the arena and see Clarisse yelling.
"You're in charge Chiron. Does my cabin get what we want or not?!" Demands Clarisse.
"Clarisse, as I've already explained, Michael and the Apollo cabin have the best claim. Beside we have more important matters " Chiron tries to explain.
"Then all of you can fight this war without the Ares cabin! Until I get satisfaction no one in my cabin will lift a finger! Have fun dying!" Yells Clarisse before storming out.
"This is crazy. What's she so mad about?" Asks Percy.
"Her pride has been wounded. She'll calm down eventually. I hope," says Chiron.
"Percy, Phoebe you need to know. Read," Annabeth says handing us the paper.
"A half blood to the eldest gods," Percy say.
"Shall reach sixteen against all odds," I says.
"And see the world in endless sleep," Percy say.
"The heroes soul cursed blade shall reap," I say.
"A single... a single choice shall end their days," Percy says with a choke.
"Olympus to preserve or raise," I say.
My brother crumples up the paper. He looks at the ground. I put my hand on his arm.
"You see now why we thought it was best not to tell you the whole prophecy. You've had enough on your shoulders," Chiron says.
"Without realizing I was going to die anyway. Yeah I get it," Percy says.
My breath speaks up. I didn't want to lose my twin brother. We've barely left each other's sides. I can't even imagine trying to live life without him there with me.
"You need time to think about this. Both of you do," says Annabeth to me and Percy.
"No. If I die, I die. I can't worry about that right now," Percy says.
"You don't mean that," says Annabeth.
"We have bigger problems. There's a spy at camp. Kronos knew we were coming to the Princess Andromeda. He was waiting," Percy says.
Whispers flow through the crowds.
"It makes sense. Someone has been feeding Luke information for years. And I'm afraid our problems still aren't over. The most horrible monster of all. The biggest single threat the gods ever faced. He has been freed from his prison under Mount St. Helens at last. The gods have been fighting him for days. Trying to slow him down but typhoon marches forward. Towards New York. Towards Olympus. He will arrive in five days," says Chiron.
"Five days? We turn sixteen in five days," I say.
Chiron nods his head.
"Well, I think that's quite enough for one council. Night had fallen," says Chiron, "we have a burial shroud to burn."
