Heads up if you didn't know this takes place after the battle of the labyrinth but before the last Olympian.
Christmas in the underworld was not my idea of a good Christmas. Theoretically I was suppose to be leaving for my Mom's house right after I taught my Pegasi lessons.
Except that didn't happen.
I was at the stables teaching a few of the younger campers the basics. And as soon as I hop on Moonbeams back, and I mean as soon as I made contact, she took off into the sky.
This has never happened before with her. I kept trying to get her to slow down but she just wouldn't. I don't know what those campers were thinking but I'm pretty sure they'll never get on a Pegasi again.
Moonbeam steadies up a little but keeps flying ignoring me completely. I thought maybe she just wanted to go but after about ten minutes of flying she does basically a nose dove right into a clump of trees.
She basically lands on the ground, through me off, and flies away.
I get up and look around. Standing in a circle around me was Thalia, Nico, and Percy. I rub the back of my head where I had hit it.
"Hi?" I say kind of confused.
Percy helps me up.
"Ok," I say, "so what's going on?"
"Yah, we're not sure," says Thalia.
"Come on guys this can't be a coincidence. We were brought together. The children of the big three," says Percy.
Thalia took a sharp breath, "The prophecy. You don't think..."
She didn't finish that thought. Over the years Kronos has tried to manipulate us all separately. Maybe bringing us together was another plan.
The ground rumbled. Nico drew his sword and looks around. Too late I realized what was happening.
The ground opened under us and we fell into darkness.
