i've never read a dark romance book. i know these kinds of books will turn out amazing if they are well executed, and i'm so happy to say that this did exactly that! in all honesty, i was so excited and said to myself: yes, this will be my first five stars, but apparently, i did not like how it ended iykyk. i can't say much as i don't want to spoil anything. it's just that i love when books are not only about two people falling in love for each other, i think that's why i love mafia books so much because there's always something going on (if it is well executed ofc). i can definitely tell that this book was write months and it is well worth it! with all of the research, thoughts, character development, and all. i should definitely say this is not for everyone though, definitely check trigger warnings beforehand. i think if i'm not in the middle of exams, i'll enjoy it even more as i do not need to feel guilty reading it while i should be studying lol
