this is my second book from this author, and when i picked this book up, i was so excited!! because i remember i loved her writing style so much!! even though i rated fantasy a 3.5, but i still remember enjoying that book with all my heart.

and i don't know why, but i was expecting not less than a 4 star from this book, and it did just that!! although in the beginning i was leaning more towards 3.5 in the beginning.

i just felt like it focuses so much on them, which is funny when i say it, because of course it'll focus on them, since it's their book. but i was expecting to get more of the company aspect into it in the beginning. but when the piece starts coming up together, i get why.

some parts were a bit slow to me. like yesterday, i only got 25% of the book read. but the point where i stopped was the turning point for me. not that it was boring, but i just didn't have that connection to it, you know?

and after i broke through that wall, i couldn't stop reading!! the plot, the characters and everything was amazing!!

i love how i got to see our female lead be the realistic representative where even the toughest person can also be broken and manipulated by the wrong person. the way that she developed back to her real self just warms my heart.

i'm very much looking forward to reading more of her books in the future since she never disappoints me by far!!
