FINALLY!! i've been dragging this book for two weeks!! and i'm so happy that it's finally over!! it's not that it's bad, it's just that i'm the type of reader who has to finish before starting another one, and reading the same book for two weeks straight is kind of boring, ngl.

let me start when i picked this book up, this book has been sitting on my tbr for the longest time, hence it's the number one on my tbr. so i was very excited to have this book as my next read, the blurb sounded very interesting and it gives off dominic vibe so hard on me. and it is.

i feel like i would enjoy this book way more if i would have picked this up when i first read wattpad. it's not that i don't enjoy it, no. it's just that there's nothing that stands out to me, which i mean, there's nothing that is so different about this book (plotwise) than any other book that i've read.

if you've been here for awhile then you know i love short chapters, it acts as a page turner to me and i really do not need to think whether i could finish a chapter in one sitting or not. but this book, this book brought that into another new level. there were a couple chapters cosisting over 10,000 words and it really took me half an hour itself to read in two times speed.

i think that's the number one reason why it took me so long to finish this book. if i'm someone who reads multiple books at a time, then i'm sure that i'll put this book down and just read another book. i don't understand though, i saw the author's message board asking whether they want a long ass chapter or for the chapter to be split up. and most answered that they prefer the longer ones, like why?

i'm just very thankful and grateful for the audio that the author inseted as it helped me so much through reading it faster, or else i doubt i've reached the half point mark.

other than that, this book is a very good one, it gives you anything you want, a bad possessive man, who would not think twice to put bullets in between people's eyes, except you. a very nice, cute, innocent female lead.

okay, so octavius is said to be the mafia leader, and i do really appreciate that the author built this set up where he has people who would do anything for him, including licking his ass, no i'm just kidding he did not ask them to do that LMFAO!! but you get the point.

but i don't know i just wished that there was more action into it? i don't see much killing scenes and everything into it? okay okay okay, i do get it that this book focuses most on finely and octavius, and finely is not in this world, but i don't know, with the long book, i just wished that we could see more of that scene.

and i know it's just a me thing, but i would always prefer a strong female lead who could take care of themselves, be independent, brave and all and all. but i can actually tolerate finely!! she's just too cute for her own good, her rambling, her innocence (although i was quite annoyed to the fact that she didn't know that a guy has cock? girl, you're learning bio, and you don't know cock?) but other than that, i do really love her!!

character development!! YES!! i'm so happy for finely for not stuttering, for standing for herself and being bold in bed!! as well as octavius who really just would do anything for her not caring who's watching and whether or not they might judge.

for my fellow sluts out there, you won't be getting the smut until half way through the book, but after that, we're getting it constantly!! the smut was so hot with some spice of dominant daddy kink to it, so if you're not interested in that, maybe it's just not for you.

and oh my world!! the writing is phenomenal!! it's very descriptive, which ngl i kind of skimmed through it, but anyway, we really feel like we're watching them interact, think, and everything!!
