WHAT A RIDE!! i did NOT expect that ending, not in the slightest bit. i feel like most wattpad stories just ended the same way, if you know you know. and when it doesn't, it left me speechless, like now.

this ending was somewhat different, way way way different from any other books i've read. which what i love most about this book i feel like. it tells us how blind we could get when we are in love. it tells us how cruel people could be, and we wouldn't catch up on any red flags, because we thought they did that because they care or even, love us. which happens a lot in this world, so i really appreciate that aspect to it!

and even though the author admitted that she just switched to this plot while writing the book, i still think that it was very well organised and plot, and if i just payed a closer attention to these clues and hints, it would all make sense. even when i didn't, it all still makes sense, i was just too dumb and naive to realise that, and there's no excuse to that.

i always write my reviews on a small note throughout reading the book, so obviously these thoughts were written when i didn't know the ending would end that way, which is good for a review as it won't spoil anything and i'll bring you through my thoughts.

i don't know if you would consider this book as a love triangle or not, but i would. and i don't mean it in a bad way, kind of? it's just that i don't know which team I was in, and i didn't want to get attached to any of them, because i don't want to hate this book just because of that. but obviously, i rooted for the wrong person, i wouldn't say i hate the other guy, but i was just as dumb as jade, just by how good this guy fucks.

let's talk about these two guys, and we'll see if you guys would fall for the wrong man as well after reading my review and thought! i just wished jaxon was not as toxic? i know this is so wrong of me, but i still wished for her to be with jaxon, even though it's definitely very hard to work out. being with carson would be the safest and easiest way, and i mean he's not a bad guy, with all his advice and all i can just tell.

i'm very inconsistent about who i want her to end up with. there was a time where i really wanted her to be with jaxon, because GOSH that man makes my pussy throb, like for real, the things he said, the things he did, YES SIR!! but, again, it was purely sex based when it comes to jaxon, beside the fact that he actually opened up about his past.

and on the other hand, i wanted her to be with carson, he's sweet, he loves her for her, her good and bad, and when they were best friends before, even just for a couple months, i feel like it's a very strong foundation for their relationship, because they care for each other, know each other, and not just use the other for their body, you know.

okay, so that's about these two. let's move on to jade, yeah? i don't get if jade really didn't know if jaxon was engaged? because i actually remember her mentioning that he was. i might be wrong though, don't even quote me on this.

jade clearly knows that she doesn't like carson as more than a friend, at first it was okay, she didn't know carson likes her, so she'd let him eat her out and think it was just a one time thing, i wouldn't judge, i understand that jaxon hadn't asked her out, so clearly she's free to do whatever she wants.

but, when she found out carson likes her, wouldn't it be wise to show and tell him that she doesn't see him more than a friend? because if she doesn't, then definitely, carson would still have the hope that she wants something more, but here she is going out on a date with him, and she promised aria to not hurt him, i don't know i just don't think it's very nice and wise of her to do such.

it was stated that she was a 4.0 gpa student, but, is she just smart without trying? people in the comments and herself included, said she worked hard to get an almost perfect score in her research paper, but throughout the book, i didn't see any of that. what i saw was actually quite the opposite, she would go out with either jaxon or carson, fuck them and done. i get that she even had an extra class with jaxon after school, but correct me if i'm wrong, but she would spend most of the time she got to either seduce him, give him head, let him eat her out, let him finger fuck her, or fuck her.

basically, these characters fucked up, all of them! there's no one here that acts as an angel, except aria actually. jade cheated, jaxon was toxic, carson knew jade is dating someone yet still kissed her. GUYS! what is wrong with you?

this has been long enough, almost at one thousand words which is insane! i would like to close off this review by discussing the writing style. the pace was pretty fast, at least for me. i didn't mean it in a bad way, no. i liked it even. the more scenes about them being around each other, the better. just because i love these two!

there were some parts where the author didn't really describe things, and rather just tells us what's going on which i found very boring. she'd go he took a shower, then wrap himself with a towel, ran downstairs to grab breakfast, and so on. girl, to be honest with you, if that's how boring his life is, you can just skip it, because honestly, we don't need that

for most of the smut scenes that we got, it was on the third person pov, well i know it's purely preference, some might like it that way, and some, me considered, prefer it to be written on the first person pov. by reading from a first person pov, i feel like i can visualise better by putting myself as the main character rather than someone who is watching what's happening

it is deeply regretted that the author didn't edit the book. the first few chapters were edited and they were the best ones i would say. the content, the plot, and the characters were on point, the writing wasn't bad though! there were just some grammatical errors here and there which was still tolerable, just that, it will be better, you know?
