what a great way to start the year!! it's been months since i've read a book that i can't put down and am sucked into. i'm not one to just binge read 10 chapters all at one sitting and not get distracted, but with this one, i have no problem in doing it.

coming into this book, i was expecting it to be a 3 or 3.5 star read for me and nothing more. and in the beginning of the book, i liked it, but not anywhere near a 5 star. but when the drama finally picks up, i would get lost of time and i'm half way, and then, not long after, i'm done with the book.

i was starting to question what is wrong with me since i've not find a 4.5 let alone  a 5 star in so long. but this book gives off very strong vibes of that 5 star book. you know, when you just know that this is it? yeah, it's that feeling.

although it does take me several days to finish, it was just that i was on a short vacation and i just wanted to enjoy the place. but every time i was planning to just read a chapter or two, I couldn't. i said to myself multiple times that i'd read just one more chapter.

what a ride!! i love how words, specifically on this book can make me smile like an idiot to a point where my cheeks hurts, and it also can give me watery eyes, on the edge of my seat, scared with the things that happened.

i can see people getting bored with this book somehow at first, but again, the characters to me were very interesting to follow, and since i'm a very character based reader, i have no problem in reading the beginning part of it.

as i said, the characters were phenomenal!! i love their banter and basically just how these two interact and treat each other with so much love. and the 'boring' parts as some people call it, shows how their relationship grows over time and it's definitely not an instant love like most stories do.

i have no problem with the time jumps, which mind you, there's a bunch of those throughout the book. but, somehow, i'd rather see that rather than go through an unnecessary extra 15 chapters just for uneventful scenes.

if you're here coming from my 'office romance' reading list, honestly, it has only like 5 chapters involving the office, which i'm okay with as i was not here for that anyway. but i promise it'll still worth a try!!

if it weren't for me reading this book with my whole family in the same room with me, i just know that there were points where i can see myself balling my eyes out. i was so attached to the characters and i just can't bear anything that happens to them.

i know it's not the most well written book that you can find here on wattpad, but fuck it, i'd rather have a mid writing but fantastic story, rather than a trash story with a whimsical writing.

i know it's so wrong of me for still loving the male lead so much for what he's done, while i should hate him. but gosh, somehow it's very understandable as to why he did that to me? well, not as far as that, but he tried to fix it up so bad.

and now i've come to realise that i actually tend to love a more toxic plotline somehow? which might be a huge red flag. but... we're not going to speak about it and i'd rather end it short now.
