finished: july 7, 2022i know i said it multiple times that characters are very important (at least to me), but the writing style is also as important, it can't simply be the secondary of the story. this story, however, it contains 80% dialogues which does help for me to read faster but when it comes to the description, meh, not really. that does not mean i do not like it, no! i really enjoy reading through it and for it being extremely straight forward, but sometimes it just gets too much. that makes this book feel like a (very) rough draft, where it does contain a very interesting plot, i just wished the execution was better. and there was a chapter where the author uses third person point of view, and BOOM! everything changed, how the heck can a cold hearted levi just take a complete 180° turn to that? it felt like we were missing a couple of chapters! and as for leyla, i don't know if leyla is really dumb or she's just acting like one, i mean if she was a detective then it's impossible to be that dumb, right? i feel like the author was bored and got tired of writing and was like, well let's end it here. there were so many things that were not answered. enough on the negatives, let's look at the positives too, shall we? when i picked this book up, i had zero, literally none expectations and expected it to be a one star, i scolded myself and was like, why did i even put this on my tbr? but turns out i literally put everything i was doing down and just read it for hours! it was that entertaining! i loved the different cases that we've gone through, and all the ways levi and leyla came up with! and of course, let's not forget the sex, huh? oh boy, it was good! it also definitely gave the cosy vibe which again, i was not expecting.
